That's its for me for this flash sale, but I am now 37 points away from a fifty dollar gift card. It looks like I'm going to have some fun with the Feb/March flash sale.

Made one purchase, then realized I hit a $500 threshold and used the $50 to make another. So excited to watch these (and to finally clear these out of my wishlist lol):

Presumably anything with a "4K restoration" is fair game.

The one thing I wanted, the Dietrich/Von Sternberg blu ray box set, is sold out. It sold out during the July Barnes and Noble sale too. I have pretty much all the Criterion I want right now. I guess I'll hang onto the $20 worth of store credit I have for the next flash sale. Maybe February they'll release something that interests me.

Thank You

Does anyone have a list of films that have a 4k restoration but not a 4k release?

Going to purchase a few titles after work today. Probably going to buy the Martin Scorsese World Cinema Project sets, and maybe the Olympics set.

Try removing it from your cart and logging out of your account. Then try a hard refresh to clear your cache by pressing Ctrl F5.

Then log back in, and try to add it to your order. If that doesn't work try a different browser. Hope it works out for you!

I have a really silly question- long story but I'm considering adding the dvd of Bresson's Pickpocket to my order because it's just $12.49 and I have some credits so it would basically be like $7 to me. this is the 2014 dvd re-issue- do they include the new scan in SD on the DVD? again, really silly but I'm tempted. any thoughts?

Default My flash sale order

I placed my sale order today. The extremely nice part was that I was able to redeem $40 worth of credits, to get my out-the-door price to just over $60. The even nicer part was that thiis order put me over the threshold for a $50 credit. It's almost like getting stuff for free!

Small order for me this time. Fortunately I was able to use almost entirely gift cards. After I checked out I saw this and had a chuckle:

Basically same thing happened to me but at 27 points left. So too much to clear with one movie, Blu-ray or 4K. I'd have to go with something bigger, and then there's the shipping threshold to consider.

Was there a bookmark you could buy, or a Criterion "C" bumper sticker?

Just ordered these four. I had a lot of codes to use too, so it came out to just $40 (and I have even more to use as well, haha).

Does Criterion have a deal with Lionsgate? If not, do any boutiques have a deal with them?

It's been years since I have ordered direct from Criterion (not since my cousin was dating some jazz club owner in NY in the 00s, and I could get hik to forward all my sales orders).

How is Criterion's shipping/ packaging these days? As I have probably demonstrated ad nauseum here, I am a bit sensitive, particularly to crushed corners. So, can one expect digipaks and boxes to arrive just fine, or would it be more wise for someone like me to pay full price and order from one of the smaller specialty shops, who er really good at packing stuff?

Also, how are Criterion when it comes to exchanging scratched discs/ damaged packaging?
If there was a massive packaging issue with tons of the same title being affected, they might do a replacement program. I've heard they did this for All About Eve, but I wasn't involved in that one so I'm honestly not sure.

They also do an occasional packaging replacement program where it's $5 a piece, with the only rule being no OOP stuff. (But they emailed me a laserdisc insert for a long OOP title so I'm not sure.)

Criterion are the industry best when it comes to replacements, buf if your disks are scratched they seemingly ask you to try them out, clean them etc. I haven't had a scratched one yet, touch wood.

Packaging damage YMMV - some people are asked to contribute $5, some aren't.
This.

I bought the After Hours 4K, and while the 4K is perfect, the Blu-ray spits out after two seconds. I've had to clean it, wipe it, use cold water, use Dawn dish soap, and do a little dance around the disc to make it work, and still nothing. I'm happy I only paid half for the set because I've only been able to watch one of the discs. -_-

Tell me how the standard Blu of After Hours works.

While I'm at it, was there a B-locked disc of After Hours? Is the American Blu-ray A-locked? I'm thinking maybe I got a B-locked disc, and that's why it won't play. "The disc does not meet the specifications" of my Region A/Region 1 player. If that's not what caused this mess, then I'm officially stumped.

Have you tried running it through the dishwasher? If that doesn’t work, toss it in with your next load of laundry, like-colors only.
