It's on The Criterion Channel this month. Keep hope alive!

Despite being a huge Vincent Price fan, some how I had never even heard of it. I swear, I don't think it was EVER on Tv in L.A. in the 60's or 70's. I love it and hope to see it get upgraded someday. When Vincent Price was pegged as the bad guy by all those performers just because he has that evil, sinister aura about him and
[Show spoiler]then sweet and innocent David Nelson turns about to be the homicidal escaped lunatic,
I was hooked!
I do remember that exchange we had, but I don't remember actually recommending THE BIG CIRCUS as I have not seen it in years. Oh well, if I did, then I'm glad you enjoyed it. Those early Irwin Allen pictures are always a gamble. Wait a minute: Every Irwin Allen picture is a gamble! But I'm with you on liking circus movies and I'm always on the lookout for ones that are new to me!

I know it's not likely but I would like to see Gus Van Sant Elephant make it. But I feel like it's gonna be one of those that get a DVD release

Have you seen this one?

I really enjoyed it. It is one of those films that succeeded despite having a very troubled production due to Chaplin's personal problems (filming was actually suspended for 8 months), a major fire at Chaplin's studios and even the discovery of a scratched negative one month into filming. There is a great article about the film here.

No, I have yet to see Chaplin's THE CIRCUS, but your impressions are duly noted. I'm not a big Chaplin fan, but I've always had interest in this one because of the setting, so I will definitely check it out, now hastening to do so with your added endorsement.

a 4K UHD of Elephant from Criterion would be incredible.

Has anyone seen Godland?
I'm getting a very Icelandic version of Black Robe vibe from the trailer.

Nothing has been said about a Louis Malle set so no. There's always a chance for almost anything to get a release just like most other films

I don't think so. I was just thinking it's been a couple years since the last John Waters release, so they're due.

I believe last year it was around Valentine's Day and love-themed movies were on sale. I am not sure if tying the flash sale to this non-holiday is an annual practice, though.

I would shit myself if we got Mel Brooks films on 4K (aside from Spaceballs, which already has one).

April will be 22 months since Pink Flamingos. I would definitely pick up DL, since there’s nothing to edit about it. John Waters is one of my favorite directors, but I equally anticipate and dread his releases.

When I found out PF was edited (courtesy of an email from the team, which thank you for your honesty if you’re reading this), I felt like I got crushed by a boulder.

Considering WAC is unusually silent, this month’s Criterion announcement is either going to absolutely rule or absolutely suck.

2023 Flash sale started middle to third week in March.

Previous years I recall it being most often in mid to late February.
