My guesses for tomorrow

Paris Texas 4K
Killers of the Flower Moon
The Year of Living Dangerously
Barfly
White Dog
No Country for Old Men
Alfred Hitchcock box set including Sabotage, Young and Innocent, and Secret Agent

Big ifs for me that could happen for December, but I’m leaning towards these titles coming out in January, or later next year
Stray Dog
Drunken Angel
Dead Presidents
Winchester 73
Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains
Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore
The Bad Sleep Well
The Program
This is Spinal Tap

I watched this today and I was correct they didn't break any news. First part was Jim Cironella and Gary Streiner talking about how the film ended up with Criterion/Janus. Then they talked to Curtis Tsui about producing the release.

The only thing that came close to news is Curtis Tsui mentioned he'd be talking to Jim Cironella soon about something. Since Cironella helped with the Showa Godzilla set, I'm guessing it will be about either a Heisei Godzilla set or a release of some of the Ishiro Honda titles that Criterion has.

Oh jeez, I got distracted by other stuff, and forgot about that. The list went through many iterations, and I was going to whittle it down a bit as I think we'll see fewer titles, but here are my guesses:

A Confucian Confusion
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore 4K
1984 (1984) 4K
Paris, Texas 4K
World Cinema Project Vol. 5
Mon oncle Antoine

I put a Scorsese on there because we haven't had any all year, and we've had two the previous two years in a row. I was also looking to add a holiday/christmas movie (we got Blast of Silence last year), and I originally had Carol (2015) 4K, but I don't know if Criterion could actually license that (I think it's with Lionsgate), so I went with Mon Oncle Antoine instead.

Originally I also had Misumi's Sword Trilogy there, but I feel like we're due for another WCP set, so I switched that out. I also had Le Pont Du Nord on there, but dropped it when I added Mon oncle. Finally, with it being the 40th anniversary of 1984, and it being released on 4K in other countries, I'm hoping Criterion announces it for this final month of the year. It's more than likely that none of these will be announced, but it's still fun to make them.

Yeah most likely tomorrow, but it could be Monday too jeez I cannot believe we’re already onto the December announcements for Criterion. I feel like those November announcements went by so fast, and now we’re onto what they’re putting out for December.

I'm willing to bet it'll be on Monday. Criterion usually announces titles on Monday if the 15th falls on a weekend.

I honestly could definitely see them making the announcements tomorrow other boutiques have done them on Fridays examples Arrow Video, and WAC sometimes not always, but WAC has done announcements on Friday before.

June is the most recent time that the 15th was on a weekend and they announced the titles on Monday back in June.

It's the internet. Everyone wants to play judge

It's a nice fanboi pleasing thing to do. They can also consider having a special "fan-approved" blue sticker for you to sign.

I'll give a prediction of a 4K for A Room With a View to ride the wave from the Merchant Ivory doc.

World Cinema Project Vol. 4 is -45% on Amazon. It was never price-matched during the July sale. Should I just go for it or risk and hope it will be price-matched in November to save an extra 6 bucks?

My dream December releases (based on nothing at all except my own desires) would be Killers of the Flower Moon, Hard Eight, a Pepe le moko upgrade, Isle of Dogs, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, and Star80
