I think Criterion is fixing some issues with its site. The code should be working soon?

yeah.... fixing the bugs I guess...

I just hope they don't cancel my order, but even if they do, at $21 each, I'll still re-order all 18 pre-orders

I think they are fixing it to not work with pre orders at all, if my recent attempts are any indication.

I'm sure you're right. Hopefully they'll honor orders that made it into their system before the fix!

with shipping it seems like the prices are the same on amazon if you have prime, if you only want to buy 1 of them, and then I went on amazon, I found the deluxe edition of last emperor on dvd for 7.98 shipped yay =), such a awsome price

The sale is much cheaper than Amazon.

i was looking at senso on the criterion sale after shipping it is 25.92 and on amazon its 24.99 with prime.

same with fish tank and sweet smell of success on blu ray as well

The key is that you have to buy more than $50 to get free shipping from Criterion. If you aren't in a position to do that, there are other ways to get good deals, such as Amazon.

If you get at least $50 worth, the sale is the way to go.

I have had gift cards on amazon so i got fish tank andsenso, on blu ray as well as last emperor deluxe and harder they come on dvd for all together for 6.57 after shipping.

since i have prime for free for being a college student and some gift cards, I would prefer not to have to pay out of pocket for the same items

I'll be holding onto my Amazon pre-orders for awhile to make sure it goes "Smoothly" but hopefully, if they do cancel my order, a simple email will get them to allow me to still use the "sale" for the MSRP price, still making it a great deal.

Ordered 9 films for a little under $180 shipped. That order put me over the top in Criterion points and they gave me a $50 gift card which I exchanged for 2 more films, with a little money left over.

I'm getting a new car tomorrow, so I had to go easy on this sale, but I ended up getting 3 Blu's (Videodrome, Cronos, Sweet Smell of Success) for about $59 shipped, which I'm perfectly ok with.

I grabbed Night of the Hunter and Playtime in the sale on blu, and picked up The Human Condition on dvd -- Criterion has said that the elements aren't in good enough shape for blu, so I took the plunge.

Shame it does not work on pre-orders, I really wanted to order Yi Yi and the Naruse eclipse set.

And I hope they release some more Taiwan films, they are grossly underrepresented in the collection.

Sweet Smell of Success is without a doubt one of the best looking Criterions out there. Oh, and I loved the film too. Truly glad I got it.
