Any guesses on titles that will be announced next friday? I was hoping for Kuroneko, but I am also really looking forward to The Four Feathers.

Cul-de-sac will be a 1st day pre-order also.

Good idea! Brock Sampson can take a rest while I put up a new avatar...
I know there's no chance of Criterion ever doing Conan The Barbarian but it is my favourite film of all time.
Here's hoping that Fox don't screw it the (hopefully coming soon) blu-ray...

Criterion needs to release Carlos. I refuse to buy a single disc version of it.

I like to think of it like Raising Cain (so far, SpiderBaby is Carter and CG is Cain) but they're both OB/GYNs with some interesting "medical equipment" laying around, like in Dead Ringers.

I miss having the price right there on Criterion's site. Usually they are all the same, but sometimes they had some cheaper. It is annoying having to open new windows to check.

Watched Au Revoir Les Enfants on Saturday. Criterion did an amazing job on this essential film.

I love Criterion releases. They take film transfer very seriously. I just have one question. Why are their releases region locked?

Rights. They often only have the distribution rights of a title for the North American market, so that's why they have to region lock them. They used to release their earlier DVDs region free, but they don't do that any more, unfortunately.

Last night, I was able to sit back and enjoy The Red Shoes for the first time. If I would have known I was going to enjoy it that much, I never would have waited this long to finally see it! What a beautifully filmed movie!
