I don't really care about the text on the package, I just want good PQ and AQ.

I don't really feel like importing if there's a strong chance of an announcement for the U.S. soon, but I don't think anything is happening soon.

I'd just place an order with amazon.de then to snag them in one clip & minimize shipping costs. The Wild at Heart release in terms of A/V quality is serviceable at best (some of the nighttime sequences are very noisy).

I think if I place an order, I'll do John Cassavetes, Twin Peaks, and Wild At Heart from Germany and City Girl, Elephant Man, and Sunrise from UK.

No one else is curious as to how the Criterion Digital(I know, I know) Hitchcock Films from iTunes? Foreign Correspondent, Love & Innocent, Sabotage. I think I am going to download Young and Innocent and compare it to the MGM DVD.

That sounds like a smart move. Anxious to hear whether the Cassavetes set is in fact region free. I noticed Concorde video (who also released the Lynch set) is handling the release, so that is probably a good sign.

How do you know Criterion will release Elephant Man?

Wild At Heart appears to be OOP via UK and the only available version is the Region B Locked version.

I have the entire Twin Peaks set on DVD, as well as the movie.

I agree. I recently watched all 3 films plus the special features in a span of maybe 2 or 3 weeks and I still feel like I rushed through them. I want to watch these again ... soon!

Gomorrah-any recommendations? Our Blockbuster is closing and it was the only Criterion (used) I saw. Course there would be no case or booklet but the price was $7.99. Thanks.

Very enjoyable. Very readable. Very informative. This is one of the first books I checked out in 2003 as I began to really take interest in film. About a year ago I was wandering the Dædalus Books near my house and they had a stack of them for $3 or so. I bought one and shelved it. Time to take it off the shelf and celebrate ten years of cinephilia.

I meant Eraserhead (i was looking at the picture of Elepant man in Midnight Movies) i prematurely posted as im sooo freaking excited to the book.

I agree. I cant wait to rewatch it come Easter

I think the core genius of the film (and possibly book) is diverging far from the Biblical text and thus placing us in untreaded waters.
