I got that accidental duplicate copy of Leon Morin in, and I have no use for it other than to sell it...I was about to open one..and one of them has a sticker, and the other one doesn't.

Personally, I don't care about the stickers either...but I've seen members complain about not receiving them in the past, so I thought I'd ask.

I don't even notice if there's a sticker.

Not exactly Criterion related, but it belongs in the art-house realm: Is anyone looking forward to Jeff Nichols' Mud? It opens this weekend and I'm really anxious to see it.

Also went to my local Saturday Matinee and got a used(but very much like new) copy of Kiss Me Deadly.
Nice.

I'm considering seeing it this weekend--haven't been looking forward to seeing it for a long time, but based on recent reactions I've gotten interested.

I usually burn through previews when loading a disc but that one caught my eye.

I haven't seen Shotgun Stories yet but Take Shelter definitely put Nichols in the 'keep an eye on this guy' category.

I've even taken something of a liking to Matthew McConaughey over the past couple years. In fact, if this keeps up I might even learn to spell his name one of these days.

So yeah, I'm not exactly anxious to see it but it's definitely on my radar.

Definitely. Take Shelter was one of the best films of 2011.

Makes sense. I would definitely sell the one with the sticker, so there won't be a question of its brand new condition.

Agreed. I'm seeing Mud next month and pretty excited about it even though I'm not a big fan of McConaughey, it's taken a long time to get a theatrical release.

I thought he has been great lately in Lincoln Lawyer, and Killer Joe.

I've only become a fan of him in the last couple years, like many others...and now I actually find myself looking forward to what he does.

Upstream Color is being released on blu ray next month. Primer was a great, intelligent film. According reviews, Carruth's sophomore film looks very promising.

Now that we are talking about Nichols, Michael Shannon will be in The Iceman film next week. He was great in Take Shelter.

I ordered from DeepDiscount for $15.99 a couple days ago...I hope it won't arrive much later than release date, because I was so looking forward to being able to see it when it comes out.

Nope. I would still purchase the Criterion disc.

I would, however, pause to make sure that it's a Blu-ray instead of a DVD. I can be dense that way sometimes.

The stickers are cool, though, because you can trace over the signatures when signing for false credit cards and such.

(That last sentence was a joke, y'all.)

I really want to see The Iceman. I enjoy Michael Shannon's performances - I think he's great in Boardwalk Empire and I liked him in Take Shelter.

That is a great price. Amazon is selling it for $19.99. May 7th, I have to wait two more weeks.

Already? I thought Upstream Color was still spreading to theaters? I can't wait to check it out. Primer was really great and this looks very good as well.

Michael Shannon is also in great in Boardwalk Empire (and 8 mile, but I've found very few on this site who like that). I'm intrigued by this movie purely for that performance!

Yeah, it's soon...it was only released into theaters a few weeks ago.

I would really love it if he releases a new edition of Primer himself. I think it makes perfect sense to do so..
