yeah, that's what I'm thinking. if it happens what a month it would be, with what is already appearing in the ghostly forms and phantom pages.

i love fan rumors and speculation . . . especially when they come true.

I have a hard time thinking of The Uninvited as horror. The tone seems just a little too light for that. I mean, you're right, it's not Topper but it's not The Innocents either.

And not for nothing, The Phantom Carriage took ghosts pretty seriously.

Probably not going to be the "Before" trilogy but I can live with any of the Lynch/Cronenberg titles / box set (although I already own Eraserhead, Mulholland Dr., Lost Highway & Inland Empire.)

Yes, great movie! Never expected a bluray anytime soon, let alone Criterion. I've been hanging on to my VHS

Is it common for any blu upgrades to have broken image links on the expanded view listing? Right now, I see that the images for John Cassavetes: Five Films and Magnificent Obsession are broken on the expanded view. That would be a bit much to expect in one month, though, I would imagine.

It usually goes to an error page, if they're updating the listing to add blu.

Don't tease with the Five Films Set. I have been holding off on the UK Blus just knowing Criterion has to put them out. Opening Night is my fav!

Criterion should do a Sirk set with All that Heaven Allows, Magnificent Obsession and Written on the Wind (my fav Sirk)!

I really think October could be a steller month.

That's good to know. The trailer made me drool! I also saw a reference to Brief Encounter, which helped. In The Mood For Love is the Barnes and Noble sale purchase I'm most looking forward to seeing.

As much as I look forward to announcements Im trying to not get worked up with anything that is anticipated because the next thing you know is they aren't announced and leaves you high and dry.
Im really hoping for Mullholland Drive but if not there is always next month. I know the Cronenberg lovers are really hoping for Scanners and the Brood..and I hope they are announced in fear of riots !!!

Agreed. Plus, every time I watch my DVD I think about how the colors would just pop in HD.

Give Criterion's history with Godard and Shakespeare adaptations, I wouldn't mind seeing them release King Lear at some point. I've yet to see the film, but it's probably his post-New Wave work that I've got the greatest interest in.

Yes! Bicycle Thieves is the saddest movie ever made, but I still want an upgrade to Blu-ray dearly.

Bicycle Thieves and The Passion of Joan of Arc are both way overdue.

Yeah, Haneke needs some more on blu-ray. I myself would like Funny Games, but I believe I'm in the minority there.

Since I've been on a Chaplin kick lately, let's have The Kid, City Lights, or Limelight.
