The Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman box set will cost an entire monthly Blu-ray budget if I get it at the half price sale.

However...

The Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman box set will take an entire month to watch.

That sounds pretty fair and reasonable to me.

I'm up in the air about this one, though. I've always been intrigued to see the Zatoichi movies, but I don't see myself watching all 25 of those movies more than once. I already own the James Bond series.

I think ceasing DVD only issues is a smart business move by them. It will bring down costs for them significantly. This may explain the lack of Eclipse titles in 2013, maybe they will start be Blu ray/DVD combos.

Dude...$4.00 a movie. Unbeatable deal. 'Nuff Said.

It'll cost me about 1/5 of my monthly BluRay allowance

I am the proud owner of the new Niagara Blu-ray after my visit to Barnes & Noble on the way home, and your avatar reinforces my happiness with the decision.

That's a good idea-- I should set a blu-ray budget by month. Although I don't think it'll work, since there are some very slow months and some very busy months.

Huh...I was hoping it would go on-demand but for some reason I was sure it wasn't. This is good news.

I blew out the rest of my August Blu-ray budget today.

Seconds (ordered from the Criterion site with my $10 gift certificate)
Strangers on a Train (ordered for $10 from Amazon third party dealer)
Dial M for Murder (Barnes & Noble after coupon)
Niagara (Barnes & Noble after coupon)

I am now the proud owner of every Region A Alfred Hitchcock Blu-ray.
