Ehhh, I'm gonna have to go with Pulp Fiction on that one actually.
But goddamnit I love Kill Bill too. One of the first full on R rated movies I remember going to see in theaters with my dad without being hovered over (even though I had seen plenty at home by then)

I've seen Pulp Fiction so many times that I'm actually kinda tired of it. That's why I don't own the Blu-ray yet. I'm taking a hiatus until I feel the urge to watch it again.

I watched Vol. 1 twice in the theatres and Vol. 2 four times theatrically!

Normal gift cards. Amazon, Wal-mart, FYE and Best Buy so far.

I loved A Man Escaped and Wages of Fear is on my Amazon wish list. No input on the other 2.

Was able to find Investigation of Citizen Above Suspicion for 17$ at the store last night! I'm digging the new packaging. Also brokedown and got on eBay from one seller Peeping Tom, Contept and Missing. Three oldies I really wanted to see.

Heard mixed reviews but finally saw Seconds last night. I really liked it. I didn't think the second half was as bad as some have said on here. Cool concept. Man I was like holy hell Rock Hudson looked bad in the beginning didn't realize it was makeup lol. I only have ever seen him in Giant before this. I'm happy with the blind buy all and all..

I've seen Pulp Fiction countless times since a college friend and I watched it in the theater on the day of release back in 1994. At the time, I was living in an apartment with three friends, and one of them had purchased one of those black market "cheater boxes" that unscrambled all of the Pay-Per-View channels, so we basically lived in front of that setup when this movie came available on Pay-Per-View. Even now when I watch the movie, I still crack up laughing thinking about those good times when we were all addicted to watching it over and over, and quoting it left and right. I bought the VHS tape, I bought the DVD, and I now have the Blu-ray after finding it for five dollars on a used rack last year.

Like you, I was also burned out on Pulp Fiction after multiple viewings, but I've got to say that the Blu-ray really rocked my world when I watched it, and, although I know that it's trite to say this on the forum, seeing the high definition transfer was like watching it for the first time all over again. It's a downright handsome-looking transfer, and the colors really pop out of the screen, especially during the Jack Rabbit Slims restaurant scene. If you've seen the gaudy color explosion of Criterion's Blu-ray transfer of Brian De Palma's Blow Out, then that will give you a good idea of what to expect from the Pulp Fiction presentation.

Of course, watching Godard's Breathless, Vivre Sa Vie, and Band of Outsiders will get you geared up for revisiting the Tarantino film.

Fedora I found to be pretty awful (or at best ho hum blase, it's been over 30 years); and although I'm going to give Sunset Blvd another go some day, wasn't wild about it either... not sure whether I'll even bother doing the same with Fedora.

Most all of his other (directed) films I've been at least fine with, but there's still a half dozen I've yet to see.

Huge Kill Bill fan here. Just re-watched them this week, actually. Ear to ear grin the whole time. Pure movie making bravado. And wow do those 2 movies look and sound stunning on Blu.

Nice news about Ace in the Hole. Hard to go wrong with Wilder.

That's more reasonable. I wasn't a fan of Django Unchained. It lacks Menke's magic.

It really does & for that reason I hated it on my first viewing. The whole thing felt too dark and evil for it to be humorous in even the most twisted of ways. It's no where near Tarantino's greatest films: Pulp Fiction, Basterds, & Kill Bill (for me).

My second viewing I was really able to enjoy it. Christoph and Leo are among my favorite actors working today. You can never go wrong with Samuel L Jackson either. In the end, Tarantino's direction still shows strong influence. His career is going to be much different now.

Couldn't disagree more. Kill Bill Vol. 2 is way too long and filled with so much sentimental sap that it could fill ten forests. Vol. 1 is perfectly fine entertainment but Tarantino's obsession with excess and violence is childish. His best films were his first two, and it's been a slow decline ever since. It's a shame that his films have actually become increasingly immature as he's aged. Tarantino makes violent fantasies for teenagers, but it's just tiresome if you're past college.

I'm past college and a mature adult yet I still find more than superficial elements to enjoy in his films. Perhaps you shouldn't generalize.

I won't get into my specific reasons why (at the moment) but the ending to Kill Bill Vol. 2 - really the whole last half hour - affected me on a very personal level. If it hadn't ended the way it did, I wouldn't think as much of the entire saga as I do. This is an all-time favorite of mine.

Oh, and The Great Owl, I rented Pulp Fiction on Blu-ray awhile back and it does indeed look fantastic.

I've been meaning to re-watch them for the umpteenth time but haven't gotten around to it yet. Watching some Shaw Brothers movies and hopefully, Shogun Assassin (if I can find it anywhere to rent) ought to get me in the mood!
