I hope that the red sun is Red Sun, because I've been on the fence about ordering the Japanese Blu-ray for a long while now.
There's really nothing else that sticks out to me.

It's a long shot, but it'd be cool.

Apparently, the escapee is referring to Riot in Cell Block 11.

The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, maybe? ... Please.

EDIT: Tati box set is great news. We've known about the potential for Picnic for some time. I just hope we get it son.

I would say that makes sense, but the entire sky isn't red.

I would be thrilled with this one. I'm all for Don Siegel being in the Criterion Collection.

Given all the other Demy clues, haven't seen anyone guessing the gent and 2 ladies dancing as being The Young Girls of Rochefort.

A bit odd to see no comments on the X in the cliff, possibly the most ambiguous hint of the lot...

Well, a red sun makes a red sky, right?

The other title that seems like a real possibility is 'Round Midnight, I know it's Warners...

Interestingly*, a search for Tati's films on Criterion's website whilst excluding Out of Print titles still includes Playtime, almost as if it may come back into print...

*said no one

(Also, it also appears Howards End is marked as OOP at the Criterion website but I see no indication of that from anywhere else...)

i dont know how you all do this but i would never be able to come up with these movies with such a picture ^^ but i think i have only seen 4 out of them all ... ;(

a Criterion Ring (boxset) would be absolutly amazing!
the german releases (they lack eng subs) are nothing you would want to collect anyway.

The word is that Ringu hint could actually refer to Truffaut's The Wild Child.
