I'll co-sign that - I'd be ecstatic.

I just realized there's potentially a very poor joke if a certain set of films from S. Ray is announced this month and given a certain spine #.

Agreed. I like the poster too, but wouldn't want it as a cover for a release of the film.

I wonder if Criterion will announce another Eclipse set for June.

By the way, is there a good chance that the Demy set could be released for June? The Umbrellas of Cherbourg in HD

Absolutely beautiful poster, full of atmosphere and represents film perfectly.

Ah got beat haha - I dunno I like the cube, its a key element to the film, could work without though, but the background image is lovely.

Could even be used as the artwork inside the digipak (if it was to be 3 disc)?

My Own Private Idaho, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and Le Samourai. That's all I ask for.

Canada Hitchcock Set

Not directly linked to Criterion but I've seen a few people post before about this Box Set from Hitchcock.

It is currently on sale via Amazon

I like the poster and it is original to say the least compared to the others I've seen, but I still think the best poster/cover art is this one: http://leighsinger.files.wordpress.c...drive_ver3.jpg as is on the German BD. If there were no bilingual text and the words were a bit smaller I think this is the one. Say it with me..... "this is the one"

Why not? Mulholland Drive is a great film.

"this is the one" "this is the one" (or is "this is the girl"?)

Anyhow I love the poster that Polaroid.... posted. Forget about the theory(ies) that could be attached to it, the image is splendid. Don't get me wrong kuro_sawa, I also like the poster you posted also. Naomi Watts and Laura Harring are just so beautiful to look at.

On another note, I'm also hoping that Le Samourai will get finally get a release, although I doubt it.

In my perfect world, since David Cronenberg's birthday was on Saturday and Bernardo Bertolucci's was yesterday, Criterion would announce Scanners, The Brood, and The Dreamers today.

Of course, my world is too perfect to be possible.

No not a fan of that cover! :P

This is an okay poster design:

Surprised how bad the actual design for the posters/Dvd's are for MD

Glad someone got it ! lol I think what I like about it is that its pretty simplistic but has the mystery of the film in it without giving a single thing away. The road curves under Hollywood and our two leads stare at something above we dont see.

Speaking of Bertolucci, I'd like to see a Criterion The Spider's Stratagem.

Kinda wish Criterion would pick up Gasper Noe, and more transgressive cinema, they have a few already but would be great to see more!

I STAND ALONE only has a VHS copy out I think, and would looove Irreversible in collection.
