Oh, hell yes.

I've been hoping for OMO and The Lodger (the other two are great, but already part of the Collection). Whenever the Hula subscribers get a chance to see The Lodger, please report back on the Soundtrack.

Sweet holy jesus! Hope Odd Man Out comes sooner than later!
And its probably right to assume they've got the other Hitchcock silents as well which is amazing!
Looking real forward to these!

No one seems to. Their first two laserdiscs were released at the tail end of 1984 (though I don't know the exact street date), but it's unknown when the company actually formed.

Ugh wish Criterion would let us know when Blue is being released properly, really want to put in my collection but can't justify buying the current one (£13)...

Ughhhhhh

Actually, it's not right to assume that. Well, they're all in the Public Domain, so I suppose Criterion (and anyone else, for that matter) can release them whenever they want.

But restorations of at least some of them are under copyright. StudioCanal owns at least five of them -- The Ring, The Manxman, Murder!, The Skin Game, and Rich and Strange -- which Lionsgate released in a DVD set back in 2007. I would assume that at least those same five are still licensed to Lionsgate through their StudioCanal deal.

I'm still going to assume otherwise as the Hitchcock 9 retrospective touring right now should all be under the same rights holders.
I can't see them using anything else but these restorations for their transfers as it would probably cost them too much to go from scratch.
On top of that even if Lionsgate does have a few, luckily only two of those (The Ring and the Manxman) were part of the Hitchcock 9.

Didn't they say at the Wexner talk that they're going to release Troell's The Emigrants & The New Land?

I think so. The Emigrants and The New Land rumor has been out there since Everlasting Moments was released on blu-ray.

On a side note: I believe Everlasting Moments was once announced for DVD-only (along with Close-up) before adding a blu-ray the next day. Lots of people made a fuss about the DVD-only announcement.

Criterion didn't do an April Fools last year. Did they? Kindergarten Cop and CHUD the years before that.

From full speed DF 3 discs set to 1 DVD without essay and sometimes without extras ? I'm not sure that's the best answer to DVD customers, who certainly still want to have access to the "Criterion treatment".

What are peoples views on Kuroneko?

What films would you compare it too? I want more Criterion horrors/scary films, but trailer looks kinda cheesy - any opinions would be appreciated
