Pretty good! I usually average over 2 weeks to Montreal with DD/DP/B&N.

That is really ironic, because I was just watching him in Mona Lisa (Neil Jordan film) a few days ago and I think its the first time I've seen a film with Bob Hoskins in it, in many years.

I saw the film, when it first came out, in a movie theater packed with screaming girls. My mom took me.

I hardly watch films more than a couple/three times, but I did watch this when the dvd came out a few years back and it's still just as good as ever.

The program is exceptional. The new premiere of the 4K restoration of Paradjanov's masterpiece will no doubt be one of the festival's most special events

Hopefully, the inevitable Blu-ray release is out soon!

Fear (Rossellini 1954) (a 4K restoration carried by L'Immagine Ritrovata Bologna project)
Nice list, certainly a few that have been neglected on disc.

Speaking of which, never did hear why Fear was left out of the Rossellini Bergman box. Anybody know? (Saw it via TCM a year or so ago.)

I don't think It has ever taken 2 weeks to get a B&N order to my door, when in Toronto or here in Montreal.

My DVD Planet order is on its way now so I can compare times when it arrives.

It seems possible that Criterion could release TMWWT.

They seem to have a decent relationship with Focus Features, putting out such films as Traffic, In The Mood For Love, Being John Malkovich, Ride With The Devil, and Monsoon Wedding.

Browsing through their catalogue, it appears that they released both Broken Flowers and Swimming Pool - two other films I wouldn't mind Criterion releasing.

If you enjoy the music of The Beatles, then you should have no problem enjoying the film, iScottie.

I can't say that I actually sat down and listened to a Beatles album. I've heard many songs by them and I think they're a pretty good band. No doubt they changed the way the world viewed music.

I think you'll enjoy it, then. Just allow yourself tap into the 1960's 14-year old girl that's lying dormant within you and you'll have a helluva good time.

It's a pretty decent film and the ending is memorable, in my opinion. Disco was certainly quite the thing.

By the way, I still need to watch my copy of Metropolitan.

I personally haven't seen any of Sex and the City, so I can't speak for similarities between the two.

Just know that it's a film about two friends looking for love in places that they love.
