Happy to see All That Jazz getting the Criterion treatment.

I guess my answer is here.

Polaroid - please don't make me dislike David Lynch.

He might mean Ken Russell's The Devils

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066993/

I've not seen it (though I've had the newest DVD on my amazon.uk wishlist for a while) but it does sound like something they could go to town with if Warner ever let them.

One of the better announcement months for me -- Tie Me Up, Y Tu Mama and All That Jazz.

And while we're on Spanish-language films, how about some Julio Medem, most notably my avatar? It would make a lovely Criterion.

Warner wouldn't let the Bfi release it on blu-ray, only dvd so criterion may struggle. Something to do with masterbating nuns

Nothing on the August queue jumps out at me right now, but I'm actually sort of relieved about that. The next couple of Criterion months are gonna be costly.

I've some time to kill before Godzilla, so I stopped by my favorite local indie record store (Criminal Records here in Atlanta) for the first time in a year or so. I am dismayed to discover that they no longer stock Criterion movies, because I bought my first several Criterion titles there years ago. They do, however, feature an extensive rack of 1970s/1980s grindhouse, sci-fi, and horror titles. I ended up grabbing the Scream Factory Blu-ray of Lifeforce and a CD, Killing Joke - The Singles Collection. I'm in that 1980s futuristic punk frame of mind.

I don't really keep track of their facebook anymore, but I used to see people whining about Andrei Rublev all the time

Of fims that Criterion has definitively hinted at in either the New Years drawings or the monthly newsletter, it's probably Eraserhead, which was in the New Years drawing 2 years ago.

Was Mulholland Drive ever hinted at by Criterion? I remember a video of some sort that was posted to their channel or something, but nothing stating or hinting that Criterion had acquired the rights. As much as I would love to see it in the collection, I thought Studio Canal had the rights?

Aren't we still waiting for "Boy" (1969) as well?
