It's great. I personally find it one of his best. My favorite it Talk To Her though.

I thought it was pretty good, i wasn't aware it was scored by Ennio Morricone, so thats a plus, i also don't think it is as good as my favorite Hable con Ella, i would recommend it to anyone that has liked a few of his other films.

Rosemary's Baby and The Uninvited are the only 2 I own. Looking to get a pretty scary one for October.

Any thoughts?
Haven't seen these mentioned

Got it on the last half-price sale but it's been in the stack of films to see for a while. I'm planning to watch this for the first time next Monday night on my regular home theatre series, as the second feature on a double-bill with SOMEWHERE IN TIME. ("Time" and "Ti(e) Me" to tie them together! Both also seem to have their own cult followings.)

The only other Almodovar films I've seen so far have been VOLVER and BROKEN EMBRACES, and I liked both of those quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to it despite (or maybe because of) the controversy.

I wonder if last night's delay has anything to do with this morning's Nymphomaniac director's cut announcement?

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...cut-get-733123

Were Criterion to have announced yesterday that they were handling the Blu-ray release of the film it would have jumped the gun on today's press release.

Magnolia's November release is already up for pre-order

A feasible reason to push back the release date, and no doubt there will be a lot of interest. I for one am not interested; anything with Shia the beef boy is a no no.

I expect that Warner Archive would probably handle Cat People (1942), just as they handled Out of the Past. A Criterion release would be amazing, though.

The only thing I've seen with him is Indy 4 and he had the ridiculous Tarzan-like scene in that one. I don't avoid his movies in as much as I'm just not interested in them.

Justin Timberlake--- I avoid his movies.

I've got no problem with Shia LaBeouf as an actor, but he just happens to star in some abysmal movies. Michael Bay's Transformers films are an insult to those of us who watched the cartoons as a kid. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is not bad, but it's just unnecessary. My personal favorite LaBeouf movie is Lawless (2012). I'm also partial to Disturbia (2007), because it's a surprisingly fun takeoff of Hitchcock's Rear Window. Not spectacular by any stretch, but fun.

Justin Timberlake has some decent roles, namely in The Social Network and In Time, which was a fun guilty pleasure rental for me a couple of years ago.

Have you seen the video release of Disturbia? I've heard the director answers his cell phone during his commentary. Can you imagine Criterion including that on a release?

I've no problem with either either. Lawless is great, while Timberlake has two bona-fide magnifienct performances under his belt in The Social Network and Inside Llewyn Davis.

Yeah if you avoid movies because you refuse to watch any one actor, you're bound to miss some great movie. The Social Network and Inside Llewyn Davis being great examples for Justin Timberlake. Not to mention I actually think Timberlake is a pretty good actor.

Paul Thomas Anderson gets drunk and tries to call Julianne Moore in the audio commentary for Boogie Nights (produced by Criterion for their laserdisc, tho since released on Blu-ray by others)!

I owned the DVD before my big DVD sell-off last year. I remember listening to the commentary, but I don't remember the cell phone incident.

The commentary on The Darjeeling Limited ends with someone calling them looking for a film company - they leave the whole conversation in, to the end

Timberlake is also in Trouble With the Curve which, while not Eastwood's best by any measure is still a pretty decent movie. And, he's in one of my very favorite recent guilty pleasures: Bad Teacher -- in which he's hilarious, btw ("I just hate slavery so much!").

How can you say that?! Firstly are Michael Bay's Transformers series actual films, or a waste of celluloid/GB on a Hard Drive depicting the fetishes of a disturbed manchild who doesn't know the difference between good and bad?

As for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it is both bad and unnecessary. I grew up with the Indy film, and I love them to this very day, but that fourth one, was horrible. The idea of Indy as an old man did have potential, but the film itself was executed horribly. Although I blame George Lucas for that.

Actually the range is from 30% to 52% including DVDs. I think I'll wait until Barnes & Noble's 50% off sale in November, but thanks anyways.
