Criterion.com usually has titles in stock a few days to a week before the release date. For example, My Darling Clementine releases 10/14 and was already listed as in stock yesterday.

The site just went down for maintenance again, could the sale possibly still be coming today? If so, I can't imagine it starting later than 2 EST.

I just watched Breaking the Waves for the first time just to see what all the fuss was about, and I couldn't believe how crazy, manipulative and sadistic this film is!

To say I didn't like the film would be a HUGE understatement.

That was a little tease on Criterion's part, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like the maintenance did anything.

That certainly appears to be the case now. Oh well, fingers crossed for sometime next week. Perhaps that'll allow me to snag La Dolce Vita and F for Fake without needing to wait for the B&N sale.

I'm just looking to buy All That Jazz as I think I will enjoy it a lot more now that I have a better grasp on everything in the film, mainly due to Pro-B's stellar review.

I'll probably get the Bergman Eclipse Set also, as he is my favorite director and although I can watch it on Hulu prior to buying, I can't imagine disliking the films.

Flash Sale is up! I got my email from Criterion just a couple of minutes ago.

I went to the site, ordered Eraserhead, and was out of there before anybody noticed.

I'm assuming that this is the corrected Eraserhead, since it's back online.

For the rest of the titles that I want (The Big Chill, Macbeth, etc.), I'm just waiting for the Barnes & Noble sale.

Was able to snag Macbeth, All That Jazz, Sundays and Cybele, Love Streams, Red Desert, Vengeance Is Mine, Late Spring, and The Innocents for $13.75 a piece with the $50 Criterion gift card. Can't wait to dig into these!

Got the 3 September releases I wanted, finally decided to delve into Fellini's films in anticipation of this month's La Dolce Vita release, and threw in two of the films that have been on my "maybe" list for some time.

Unfortunately My Darling Clementine went to backorder, and replacement case/art/book for Foreign Correspondent is yet to be available, or both of those would have been included in my order as well.
