Worth keeping in mind the only reason Physcho is 'predictable' is that it has been so heavily influentian and referenced in the years since.

It's pretty common for some future titles to be slipped in there, isn't it?

Yeah that's true - I'd love to have seen so many films with fresh eyes back in the day - would be such a different experience.

They should announce the January slate live at the Wexner chat.

Halloween coming up, recently purchased and watched blus of The Exorcist and Misery, two essential horror/thriller films. What horror or thriller films in the collection do you all consider essential? The Vanishing is one that I am buying.

Rosemary's Baby is the obvious one, but I'd also add The Uninvited.

I don't have Rosemary's Baby on my watch list as of now, but would recommend that one. Repulsion, though, is the one I can't wait to re-watch. Diabolique would be one to consider as well. Also, I'm waiting for my order of The Innocents which is a blind buy for me, so will def watch that…. And not in the collection, but Scream is one I never miss watching at this time of the year, just as a guilty pleasure.

I actually just rewatched Rosemary's Baby for the first time since purchasing the Blu-ray back in 2012. I remember being incredibly underwhelmed by it so I was hoping that this second viewing would be worthwhile. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it any more - in fact I liked it even less.

It's not scary, but I really, really, really love I Married a Witch. I could watch that film any time. In terms of scary, The Innocents is a great film.

What's everyone hoping for with the new releases? I'm hoping for Midnight Cowboy, Deer Hunter, and Mulholland Drive.

Well, I just watched The Innocents tonight on Criterion Blu-ray, and after getting through my 10th or so rewatch of it, I'd definitely say it's essential.

I believe the deer hinted at in the New Years 2014 newsletter was actually for All That Heaven Allows.

I am curious as to whether we finally see the Special Edition for Blue is the Warmest Color sooner than later. I also have a feeling we'll get Fellini Satyricon and perhaps Gates of Heaven.
