What would a Criterion box set of James Bond 007 films have in common with my spending a few hours in a hot tub with Olga Kurylenko and Bérénice Marlohe?

This fine music video from Blur was the biggest factor in my decision to purchase Last Year at Marienbad on DVD several years ago. It goes without saying that I loved the DVD so much that it was one my first upgrades to Blu-ray when I moved to high definition.

I was a massive fan of Blur during the 1990s, and I still am.

I'm not sure if I really liked it, but I certainly didn't dislike it. There was something about it that kept me going, although nothing that I saw was anything particularly special, in my opinion.

One of the best scenes in the film, though, is located near the end. It pretty much summarizes the entire title of the film and captures the individuality that exists for its entire duration.

I'm glad I was able to rent it on iTunes before committing to a purchase.

Thanks for the post... thinking I'll try this as rental first before picking it up as a blind buy.

Beaver Lake isn't too far away ... perhaps an hour's drive, maybe a little less. It would be more accurate to say that I live off the Elk River, not far from where it joins with Big Sugar Creek.

Do you not recognize the name of the town I live in, specifically as it relates to film history?

Sometimes Best Buy will have a few. Costco carries some. Used shops usually have a few.

I think you named the 2 main culprits though. I get 99% off my Criterions online or at B&N.
