I already order some blu-ray's, but I've been really interested in buying some Eclipse sets especially the Fassbinder, Shepitko, and Bernard. I'm just worried that Criterion will upgrade these DVD's into Blu-Ray. Does any recommend buying some of the Eclipse series or no?

Oh, I've wanted to see The Plague Dogs for a long time. From what I've gathered, it's more disturbing than Watership Down on every level. Hopefully it'll affect me as much as I think, I'm a bit of an emotional masochist in that way I suppose.

Also, I love Skinny Puppy. Like many other industrial bands, they like to sample movies, and I tend recognize much of it.

Sure, but many of them are on Hulu+.

If you have good bandwidth that's basically DVD quality anyway, so you don't lose as much by streaming as you might for a blu ray. Plus there are generally no extras on the Eclipse sets to miss out on.

It's possible that they will upgrade one or more individual films from some of the Eclipse sets (though, as someone pointed out earlier, it hasn't happened yet) at some point or another, but it's unlikely that they will upgrade an entire set at once. Whether or not that makes a difference to you, take that for what it's worth.
