That's all well and good. I buy a healthy mix of favourites and films I haven't seen before, but tbh I couldn't care less about anyone else's buying habits, it's the insulting tone of your posts that has attracted a response from me. |

While people have priorities, it always amuses me when some people are adamant against it. Going to the movie theater is also a "blind buy", but the same people have no issue with that. And to me, I'd rather spend $15-$20 on a blind buy I can own and re-watch (or re-sell) than the same price on a film at a theater.

jayembee asked you essentially the same question and you responded with a lengthy explanation of why you don't buy blind as much as you used to. But you never got around to answering his question: why do you care whether others buy blind? |

A similar situation was true of some Criterion DVDs of Disney-owned titles, like Armageddon and Chasing Amy. |

For those who might be interested, I just got an email from Turner Classics Movies Store:
Subject: Up to 40% Off Our Top Criterion Titles! I've sworn off ordering anything from TCM unless it's an exclusive release from them, but I thought some of you others might be interested. The website is shop.tcm.com |

My curiosity and my love of all things 1980s got the best of me when I was in a store today, so I purchased the 1983 remake of Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless.
I am certain that Richard Gere will not replace Jean-Paul Belmondo, and I do not believe that Valérie Kaprisky will stand up to Jean Seberg (although I might be pleasantly surprised). The soundtrack to this remake rocks out, though. I'll have to share my thoughts later on when I get a chance to watch it. |

Oops. Well, I guess I'll watch Shallow Grave next (tonight or on Friday). As for now, Life During Wartime.
My only question with Walker is... Will I like it? I have been thoroughly disappointed by two of the other three Cox films I have seen. Sid and Nancy, aside from performances, was boring and overlong to me, and Straight to Hell was utter nonsense. That said, Repo Man is in my top 10. |
