Also, think they should bring out the War trilogy sooner than later, I just got the BFI set and it looks ridiculously good.
Anything featuring Anna Magnani would be welcome.

This is one of my most wanted upgrades but since we just got Satyricon I'm not expecting another Fellini quite so soon. However, I'd love to be wrong with this assumption!

It's amazing to me that there are no real English subtitled releases of A City Of Sadness out there. Seems like a perfect fit for Criterion.

Naruse on blu would of course be amazing. Hope your hopes come true. (I already have Rublev on blu, but I'd still welcome the Criterion upgrade).

It slightly looks like a possum so I guess it fits.

I do find it odd that Midnight Cowboy has not been released at this point, so I guess that's because this clue wasn't for the film.

A Criterion Midnight Cowboy is not needed at all.
There is already an excellent European Region free release with extras, so i don't see any reason for this to be released again by Criterion!

(I'm sorry for being mean, but couldn't help it! It's just that i was tired of people saying that a Criterion Tree of life is not needed)

There is also a US release, but in this case it does look like it could be improved by a restoration.

But anyway i was just asking to keep track of which drawings hints are still pending, I've never seen that movie and i am not all that interested based on the director alone, but i will probably watch it on Netflix some day.

Oh, I didn't know about the US release..

It was a quite good movie! I was surprised at first by the avant-gardish editing in a certain scene, but i think I'd watch it again.
It certainly has a great performance by Dustin Hoffmann.

What month was the clue? It DOES look like an Australian possum, rather than those ugly things you guys call possums.

1) Australians don't drink Fosters. That is a joke they are playing on the world.

2) There are a LOT of steps between ugly and beautiful.

Neither of the Blu-rays out for Midnight Cowboy (US or UK) would I describe as "excellent"

I just hope for some form of Naruse on any format, that's at a reasonable price. I got into him too late to get the BFI and MoC sets. Plus, Criterion has all of his masterworks so hope they put out an Eclipse or at least a blu ray of another of his works.

And Cinelicous will be releasing Agnès Varda's Kung-Fu Master and Jane B. by Agnès V.! The former is brilliant - maybe my favourite Varda film out of those I've seen.
This is great news all 'round. Kung Fu Master is one of my favourite Varda films too. The current French dvd (complete with English-friendly extras) looks beautiful already, so the idea of further restoration fills me with great excitement. I wouldnt be surprised to see Varda given the box-set treatment from Criterion this year.

Out 1 is just generally brilliant news. I've got the German box-set, which is as good as I ever expected to see it. I never thought we'd see the day of it hitting Blu!
