Polaroid - you're right about this one. IMO, those faces through some kind of distorted filter is just dumb. I think their faces should be removed all together.

I'm interested in Kwaidan. Mulholland is an interesting film, but I didn't love it. The Brood is an awful, reprehensible film. Mind you, the aforementioned are just my opinions.

I like the artwork for Kwaidan. I think the artwork for Mulholland fits the film well, especially the blurred faces which is perfect. I think they could have done something more unique and interesting though.

You piqued my interest for this film about a week ago. I looked for it at the library the other day and it was checked out. Good thing... I'll give this a blind buy chance. It sounds really cool. ...and Ebert loved it, too.

I love the bottom with the Hollywood sign and the landscape and I love the use of the title.. except the way 'David Lynch' is used but i get the reasoning behind it ...

There so many better images they could have used for the top.

I don't actually mind the blurred faces that much. I despise the text though (especially 'David Lynch's'), it looks completely separated from the rest of the artwork.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Finally, my top three Criterion upgrade wishes have been met (Breaking the Waves, The River, and now Kwaidan). Hopefully Andrei Rublev won't be far behind, and it's about damn time they did their own release of The Passion of Joan of Arc and the other Dreyers.

KWAIDAN!!!!
Gonna be buying this sucker the DAY it comes out!
Been dying for an upgrade with special features and they delivered in spades on this one!
Also down for The Brood and wil even pick up Mulholland Drive despite not caring much for it, more stoked at the fact that people can shut up about it now
