I like the Paths of Glory cover. Very simple but not over done.

Nothing wrong with that pic, in fact it out does most non-Criterion Blu-Ray cover art.

It's a rather normal cover for Criterion, is it not?

Nice, but it didnt blow me away. I think The Magician has one of the nicest covers yet. Love it.

Keep telling yourself that.

it's okay. But to say one of the Best? Out of 500+ titles. No.

+1. I would love to have "City Lights," "Modern Times," and "The Kid."

If you have please share your opinions of it. If you haven't seen it and it's playing near you DON'T MISS IT! It's GREAT
I am really looking forward to the Blu-ray. I looked on the city schedule, and Atlanta is not on the list.

Still waiting on my last 4 or so Blurays from Barnes and Noble.
Hey...I'm older than Pat and I have to deal with the Internets in my job.

Yes... a very beautiful film. If you didn't know...Malick was influenced by Murnau's film "City Girl". Also a very beautiful silent film and it's available from Eureka as part of the Masters of Cinema series. And it's a region free BD.

The only thing I find strange about the Paths of Glory cover art is that Criterion doesn't normally name drop actors on their covers.

They're all GREAT films...but I think The Kid would be a wonderful first choice for release. That was the first Chaplin film that made me tear up...the last part of the film, when he is reunited with Jackie Coogan and is lauding him with hugs and kisses.

I love the image of the Paths of Glory cover but not what looks to be 3 different fonts. Something just looks off. I love the image though. Kubrick's name being smaller than Kirk's too? Weird for a director/auteur driven place like Criterion.

I havn't actually gone and viewed the cover art for all 500+ titles... I don't have THAT much free time on my hands. Just saying it's one of the better ones I've actually seen.

No hate here. Your opinion, all I'm saying. No need to break up friendships over cover art.

I also posted this pic in the 50% off sale thread, but I'll post it again here just to make CG proud.

This beauty arrived in the mail, today:
