Kino has the rights to Stalker, and I'd love for them to put that out. Their Blus seem to be pretty impressive. I'd actually prefer the newer Solaris on blu, but either one would be cool.

My Google Fu = Win: http://www.facebook.com/CriterionCol...d=455538845564

To wit:
Mike Flynn: Is there any chance you might port over The Game to DVD/Blu-ray finally?

The Criterion Collection: Outlook good.

Unfortunately, this was back on January 27, 2010 and there's been no news at all since.

A while back, Yojimbo, Days of Heaven, Summer Hours, and Walkabout were all in the B's.
That's funny...my Best Buy was doing that exclusively...now a large number are done that way and a few stray ones are filed properly.

Go figure!?

Well, you can't really ask for a better October or, especially, November than what's coming. I'm sure it's a product of the massive expenditures for those months.

We get 10 Criterion Blu films in November. I don't think anyone expected December to be that big. And Chronos and Videodrome are good films.

12 total for Nov/Dec.

Avg of 6 for those months is above the overall average per month.

I'll take it.

I don't care if anybody finds anything off-topic. Off-topic away! It's just a forum.

You just answered my question though, non-Criterion or Kino orders will ship quick. Criterion and Kino orders take longer. That's all I was asking dude. Was trying to build up info as to why some deepdiscount orders ship faster. In no way was I messing with or bashing you for being off-topic. It was just a question.

Like you even said, why would I say something about someone being off-topic?

haha I was joking around with you too--I didn't think I needed an emoticon to convey my playful jab about being off-topic.

I haven't ordered any Criterions from DD, as I try to avoid them, but your facts don't surprise me.

After watching and really enjoying The Last Picture Show for the first time recently I decided to watch the supposed sequel to the film Texasville. Big mistake on my part. Texasville turned out to be of extremely poor quality compared to the original. Oh well. I'm still looking forward to The Last Picture Show as part of the box set.

He's obviously kidding. No way Criterion could get rights to Jaws. Though I'd love it if they did.

Ha, I was making a joke nametag with the all-month horror we just got. Thought I throw in a little jab at that. I don't care about Spielberg films so I wouldn't report Jaws. Chad picked it up though.

I'm not a fan of the new Solaris film but The Game is a terrific film. I'd love to see Criterion pick it up.

I thought you just disliked his more recent stuff. I don't care for most of his recent work. But films like Duel, Jaws, Close Encounters, the original Indiana Jones trilogy and Schindler's List are some of my favorite films.

It's horrible imo. Way too many twists, about half-way through I didn't even care if it was a game or not. Would even watch Panic Room twice before watching that gibberish once more. Wild Things 2.

It's strange that I never see any kind of love for Munich, which is far and away his best film.
