The Naked Island is a truly beautiful, moving film.

But I personally don't think it has a lot of replay value.

Woman In the Dunes is fascinating, but don't know that I'll ever feel the need to watch it again.

Absolutely. Not only is it a brilliant and detailed procedural, it still feels quite fresh and spontaneous as a film, not schematic. It's my favorite Kurosawa too.

Arrow just announced a Romero box for October. if Criterion announced NIGHT, it'll be quite a banner month for the guy.

These seem like likely choices. But I would sub "Lambs" for Night of the Living Dead and "Tree" for Desert Hearts.

NOTLD is def coming oct!!!!! If they re-released Lambs I think I'll have a conniption. Day 1 for sure!

I pre-ordered The Breaking Point, Rebecca, Sid & Nancy, and The Piano Teacher today. Sadly, they are not part of the Barnes & Noble sale, being August/September releases, but the price is fair on Amazon for all of them.

Another weird question about my Pickpocket blu it came in a plastic case but I cant find any info that it was released in just the single disc. Does anyone know?

Whenever Criterion feels like it. There is no set rule or formally specified time.
