A 4K remaster of Bodies, Rest and Motion (1993) will be released in 2018 and it may be coming out via Criterion.
The reason I say "may" is because in his Instagram post, director Michael Steinberg uses several hashtags and I assume he is just listing the film's achievements (Sundance and Cannes, Criterion Collection release). I know Criterion released the film in the past on Laserdisc, but this film doesn't really scream Criterion home video release (at least not to me). ![]() http://criterionforum.org/forum/view...hp?f=2&t=14933 |

One ongoing disappointment from Criterion is that we still don't have any news of 4K UHD. With Disney now on board this should trigger a giant market swing to 4K.
Would like this to happen for Criterion ASAP. |

Seconded on The Lady Eve and Passion of Joan of Arc(yes I know there's a nice Eureka version in the UK, but that isn't an option for me at the moment).

It's a way to get multiple cuts of a film onto one disc. I'm pretty sure it was more common in DVD days. I don't know if it's even used anymore. It still makes it onto plenty of peoples wishlist for any movie with more than one cut is announced.

I think the odds of 3rd party labels, including Criterion, going UHD is very low. Filmstruck is fare more likely to be their 4k service.

Don't be disappointed with Criterion, be disappointed with their customers. This is the company that had to stop releasing dual format editions because they got so many complaints about not selling dvd only editions. Does this strike you as a group ready for a jump to another new format?
