I want The Magnificent Ambersons, a monumental film even in its current version and would look spectacular on blu.

And Spirit of the Beehive.

And The Cranes are Flying and Ballad of a Soldier.

And Samurai Rebellion, The Bad Sleep Well and Red Beard.

And Z.

I am assuming the Faith trilogy is coming.

I would love to see Criterion do some classic kung-fu releases some day. Magnificent Butcher, Encounters of the Spooky Kind, Dreadnaught, or Drunken Master would be great.

My hope for 2018 and beyond, is that they release more Asian films. It seems like these past few years, they have been getting fewer and fewer each year.

For your pairings, I would recommend getting Purple Noon along with Le Samourai.

For other mandatory noirs, you definitely have to get The Killers.

Are you like my long-lost twin because this is more or less what I want as well. Throw in Dragon Inn and Dersu Uzala and my wishlist is complete.

Well, Criterion still has the DVD rights, as it's still available for purchase. I'm guessing we'll see a BD release of it at some point, but no one really knows.

Since Universal made a special effort and released a Restored edition, I think it unlikely for Spartacus to come to Criterion.

Universal's release was more than two years ago, and those who wanted it have more than likely already purchased it. I think we'll see it from Criterion. It'll just take a little while. But we shall see.
