I would love to see Criterion do some classic kung-fu releases some day. Magnificent Butcher, Encounters of the Spooky Kind, Dreadnaught, or Drunken Master would be great.

Well, Criterion still has the DVD rights, as it's still available for purchase. I'm guessing we'll see a BD release of it at some point, but no one really knows.

Since Universal made a special effort and released a Restored edition, I think it unlikely for Spartacus to come to Criterion.

Universal's release was more than two years ago, and those who wanted it have more than likely already purchased it. I think we'll see it from Criterion. It'll just take a little while. But we shall see.
