Yeah, has to be. At first I thought that was a fish, and I was like Rockfish?.. Boulderfish? .. But then I realized it was a ham, and saying Boulderham a couple times in my head, it clicked.

No, they're both hams. It's Jamon Jamon.

Actually, I can see the rock (or boulder) looking like a wrapped ham too, so not a bad guess there, but Olive just released it yesterday:

Hmm... ok. The plot thickens (or thins?). You're right then; it must be Bull Durham.

my two loves in life - baseball and film. sorry to say, though, that Bull Durham probably wouldn't even make a top 10 list of my favorite baseball movies. I think it's incredibly overrated.

I agree. I really liked it when it came out but, unlike Susan Sarandon, it hasn't aged that well. It's good, but not Hall of Fame material.

Another missed opportunity for films that don't already have a bluray release..

They should've released Bull Durham back in December to coincide with Just Getting Started; they already released another film to coincide with another director's bomb that month

I've never seen Bull Durham so I can't comment on it. However, it doesn't seem like a film that screams Criterion spine to me.

That being said, it does seem to have some relevancy, at least according to some statistics listed on its Wikipedia page.
  • Sports Illustrated ranked it the #1 Greatest Sports Movie of all time.
  • The Moving Arts Film Journal ranked it #3 on its list of the 25 Greatest Sports Movies of All-Time.
  • The film is ranked #55 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies."
  • It is ranked #97 on the American Film Institute's "100 Years...100 Laughs" list.
  • #1 on Rotten Tomatoes' list of the 53 best-reviewed sports movies of all time.

Lots of MGM films have gotten new 4K scans/restorations, so boutique labels are raiding them. The Apartment, Silence of the Lambs, The Magnificent Seven, Annie Hall, etc..There will be many more I'm sure.
