Four hours in, and The Breakfast Club is the first sold out title of this sale. Not my cup of tea, but certainly popular and a great pick-up for Criterion.

I just ordered a few titles:
Election
Paths of Glory
F for Fake
Glad to hear that Breakfast Club sold out quickly, hopefully this leads to more Hughes announcements.

First time taking advantage of the Criterion sale. It never crossed my mind before that Criterion might ship to Canada.

Picked up:

Kicking myself because I meant to order Jeanne Dielman but forgot. The way the shipping costs workout it doesn't make sense to do a separate order. I'd have to cancel this one and do it over. Hmm...oh, whatever, I'll get it another time.

Breakfast Club, Night of the Living Dead, and Silence of the Lambs should all be good sellers for Criterion.

Amazon has this title at a better price in US: $18.60

Today I participated in my first flash sale. Getting 50% off is great, bought $280 worth of stuff and it only cost me $140.

Hopefully, The Breakfast Club's success will lead to Criterion gambling on a title we wouldn't otherwise get. Anyway, went with Walkabout, Woman in the Dunes, Kes, Blow Out, Yi Yi, and Something Wild('86).

They should go after Pretty in Pink. It would be huge considering there’s no actual bluray release yet.

Seen once years ago, but did enjoy it. From what I remember, it was very well cast - especially Harry Dean Stanton and James Spader.

I was somehow able to order Election after it was backordered because it was still in my cart. I am a little worried that I won't get it.

How many days does Criterion usually take between sale and delivery? Just trying to coordinate being at home when these get delivered so I won’t have any explaining to do to my wife when the unusually large packages arrive.

Usually your stuff shows up within a week of ordering.

My copy of Night of the Living Dead arrived in the mail today. The packaging is really flimsy. I feel like I need to buy a protective sleeve for it or put it in a glass case.

My flash sale order (I had a $50 gift certificate, so I got three more titles than I probably would have):

I went from zero to 19 Criterion movies today. Thanks to the people here I knew there were 50% off sales either at the Criterion website or Barnes & Noble. Also, thanks to the people here I knew that the 50% off sale was TODAY!

I "saved" money by buying 19 movies.

The 39 Steps
The Blob
Boyhood
Breakfast Club
The Bridge
Charade
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Godzilla
The Great Dictator
His Girl Friday
Only Angels Have Wings
The Philadelphia Story
Rashomon
Repo Man
Safety Last!
Seven Samurai
The Seventh Seal
Time Bandits
Wings of Desire

Crap, I wasn't expecting this sale (am on an economy drive at the moment) but couldn't resist... Ended up picking up three Harold Lloyd titles: Safety Last!, The Freshman, and Speedy.
