I don't get it, Bottle Rocket gets a blu release but Royal Tenenbaums, and Life Aquatic do not, these two are better than Bottle Rocket IMO, which I will still probably get on blu eventually, but B&N was sold out, three diif. locations!

Bottle Rocket was a completely new addition to the Criterion Collection last fall, so it was a good time to put the Blu-ray out concurrently with the DVD. Royal Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic came out on DVD years ago, so we'll just have to wait until Criterion gets around to updating those titles for Blu-ray.

I was stunned at how great the image on Bottle Rocket looked. I had never seen the film before and I couldn't pay attention to the dialogue at all becuase I kept staring at the picture quality on it so much.

Congrats!

Hopefully it's not a house that needs a lot of work, otherwise you're in my boat!

Thanks Beta!
Oddly enough it kind looks like yours, but not a victorian. Same color scheme though.
Looks like move-in condition, but the inspector is coming on thursday to let me know for sure.

Bottle Rocket has been sold out at EVERY store within a 50 mile radius from where I live. The website is sold out, also. Probably won't come back in stock before the sale ends this weekend.

The Bottle Rocket blu-ray is not even on B&N's website at all, just the DVD version, makes me wonder if they even carry it at all!

They do carry it at most stores call them to check on it I see it stocked all over...

and yeah not sure why it won't pull up on website. You can mention that to them maybe they can fix that issue. Sometimes they dont understand those issues oddly enough.

absolutely!

Hopefully the review here will come shortly....... On a positive note, it appears this site is given permission to provide at least 10 screenshots with each of it's Criterion reviews.

You could try getting it via deepdiscount.com. Using a coupon, e.g., DVDTALK, will get you 25% off their current price (thru coupon expiration of 8/2), and it's in stock (though doesn't need to be to place order). Comes out to 18.67 shipped.

yeah.... they have a great sale going on......

Deepdiscount lowered Battlestar Gallactica or whatever it is..... I have no interest in that, but I'm watching the Neil Young Archives' price like a hawk

I went so crazy at B&N today that I actually picked up doubles of two movies. oops.

I also noticed that The Man Who Fell To Earth on dvd has a huge booklet with it where as my blu has a relatively small one.

does anyone know what the differences might be? obviously not worth $20 for just the book but I'm curious if there's a comparison.
