Some smart people like this movie, lol. I'm not one of them, but you gotta take the good with the bad, I guess.

Okay, I'll play. I got #9, which apparently is...

(DVD only)

Tried again, this time with Google's built-in random number generator instead, and got #499.

Which, apparently, is only available in a box set.

At least it's a Blu-ray this time!

Wish Hard Boiled would get the Criterion Blu-ray treatment though, because I've never seen it and have always wanted to.

75 percent done with the TV version of Fanny and Alexander from my Bergman collection. I've seen the movie version once before, a Netflix rental. I forgot how gripping this story is. Really wish this 5 hr 21 min show was on two discs. It looks quite good, but there are compression artifacts.

So frustrating that Silence of the Lambs is not out on Region 2 criterion. Why aren't these things happening sooner? We know Criterion releases region 2 blurays since a few years, so what's the deal?

My favorite of the collection! Brilliant film!

#605

This isn't available individually and is part of this collection

Something that wasn't on my radar, but thanks to the random number generator, it now is!

David Lean Directs Noël Coward is one of my absolute favourite releases. I am a huge fan of the work of both Lean and Coward, and the set is a delight. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone interested in British cinema.

Almodovar's got a new one coming out this year. That might trigger some new releases of his works either by Sony or Criterion. 'Volver' is my favourite with 'All About My Mother' in #2. It would be a dream if Sony put out a 4K collection of his works (if they want to forget all about 'I'm So Excited!', that's fine because I'd rather forget that one too).

I got Spine #164

Solaris

I wasn't completely enamored with it when I watched it a few years back, but I've gotten more into surreal, and strange types of films since, so I definitely want to watch it again. I think it probably warrants at least two views anyway.

I got 390:

Oh dear god no.

Actually, I saw this once before and have no immediate desire to see it again. Which is funny since I had a phase where I watched and collected a lot of video nasties, but this one I find a bit too gaudy for my tastes.

So I tried again and got 786:

Yes indeed, this is one of those things I always hear about but haven't seen. Will give it a rent someday soon.

Did see The Music Room a few years ago, but wasn't a fan. I might revisit it at some point to see if my opinion changes.

RNG gave me this one:

Haven't seen it, and can't go wrong with Altman. Enjoying the random selection idea!

One of the Graduate Seminar's I took back in College was subtitled "The Most F*cked-*P Movies You'll Ever Discuss" and the professor saved this movie for the last screening. Never in the 6 years it took me to get my BA/MA have I ever seen a class full of such shocked/speechless faces than after watching this film. It was priceless.

With that said, for me this was definitely a one and done viewing (however I had to purchase a copy for my collection, just for the comments I've received for my friends).
