After Hours - most likely will be Warner Archives (same for Eyes Wide Shut) if it ever does come to bluray in the US/UK but a guy can dream. A new Spanish bluray just dropped for it so will be curious to see that transfer and if this means a UK/US release is on the horizon.

As for today, I'd love to see Eyes Wide Shut finally, or maybe (finally) some Gaspar Noe. Or give me something I'd absolutely love but would never expect, like 'Children of Men.'

It's "Currently Unavailable" on the Criterion site, which may make things moot come the Flash Sale, but I've been reading a bit about Stan Brakhage and his films, and the set could be something I'd like to explore.

I like this set. There's a restless experimentation throughout it which, for me, keeps the set engaging. Not saying that some of the films aren't misses, but overall, I've enjoyed it. You can probably find some of his work on You Tube, but the range makes it hard to pin down a style or look for him. That butterfly thing.....!

The set's also worthwhile because Brakhage is a major experimental touchstone. It's good to know his work since so many people refer to it.

On another Criterion topic, can anyone chime in on the films PIERROT LE FOU and TONI and whether or not they have repeat value? I'd second FragnitoM on Pierrot le Fou. Very engaging and very rewatchable. It's also got a lot of stylistic originality that Godard further develops in his career but that still feels fresh and fun here. And Anna Karina at one of her acting peaks.

Can't speak to Toni yet. Waiting for the next sale, too.

As for announcements, I'd love to see Atlantics on Criterion, not only for the film but also for the supplements. Criterion already has a toe in French-African film, and with so much going on in it now (anyone seen Cuties/Mignonnes on Netflix?), that release would be a strong step into today's global cinema.

I think they were a day or two late last month, so hopefully they announce today. Hoping for something Japanese preferably a Kurosawa, Gosha, or Kobayashi title.

There’s been a 4K restoration of Unfaithfully Yours out for a few years. But it’s a Fox title, so Disney may be a problem.

Well, it's still in print which means Criterion still has the license for it, so who knows

The Gunfighter is also a Fox title, so I wouldn't rule out Unfaithfully Yours because of Disney/Fox ownership.

There’s already one in the collection. I would love Chasing Amy to get an upgrade from them and I would buy Clerks! If they could wrangle the rights of Dogma from Weinstein’s filthy hands, then I would be even happier!
