I love these AMEX deals. I've used them quite a bit, not only for BD/movie related stuff, but other ones as well throughout the year.

There haven't been any ones that have caught my eye for a while, other than some Sam's Clubs ones, so it's nice to see a BB one. The good thing is that this is good until the end of the year, so it'll carry through all the holiday sales, including BF.

The $200 threshold is kind of high and you basically get 10% off if you keep the total right around $200, so the benefit above the 6% you get back in points on the BB Visa is only another 4%. Still, I think I used a similar BB offer last year to get some electronics. IIRC, I may have done a split payment where I put $200 on the AMEX and then the rest on my BB MC (at the time). I think that's how I did it.

I don't think I was planning on getting any electronics type stuff, which is what I've used these on in the past, so we'll see if I end up using it this year, but it's still good to have the offer in case I need it.

BTW, as vocalhouse mentioned, you don't need a Twitter account to get this deal or to access it. If you have an AMEX card and can access your AMEX account online, the offer is there where they usually put all the other offers.

I guess we'll have to see if they do the AMZ offer again, which is usually a very popular one, closer to the holidays. *fingers crossed*
