Yes, putting Leonardo DeCaprio in a summer blockbuster that takes place almost entirely in his head was truly groundbreaking.

And Batman vs the Joker?

How do they come up with this stuff???

(Nolan's a good filmmaker but Memento was ten years ago. I don't begrudge him the big paychecks one little bit but brave and new he ain't)

if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's because so many white posters lost their shit over a black James Bond and exposed themselves for who they truly were. And then got mad when people pointed that out.

Personally I wanted Clive Owen to be Bond, but wouldn't be mad at Idris Elba.

Well, it could work:
- "Do I look like I care what people think? "
Will Smith, "I, Robot"
- "Do I look like I care what people think? "
Will Smith, "I Am Legend"
- "Do I look like I care what people think? "
Will Smith, "Hancock"
- "Do I look like I give a damn?"
Daniel Craig, "Quantum of Solace"

(...Just sayin'. )

Thumbs down

Recently, Jay-Z said he felt "bad" about some of the songs he made in the past....now he's helping do a re-make of Annie? Looks like he can kiss his gangsta playa persona goodbye and get all suburban golfer turtle-neck sweater up in this bizzo.

Another re-make.....and another Smith offspring. I so hope the world ends next year. Dear aliens, please please hit Hollywood first.

I really don't see the hatred for Hancock.. but I thought it was a great movie. And since it did well in theaters.. the majority agree with me.

Both Will Smith and Charlize Theron looked HOT together in this movie... seeing those two on the screen together makes up for any shortcomings lol

Well its a damn shame that they didn't put Samuel L Jackson to play the lead as Annie.

I think there could be a good opportunity here to blend the original music and story of Annie with an updated timeline and musical sensibility. At least they'd be offering something different.

I could see him taking on the role Carol Burnett had in the 1983 movie, miss Pooch? Or something like that

Are you really trying to say the idea of Inception was not original? Even if it did borrow things from other movies it is still more original then most things out of Hollywood these days. Yes he did Batman movies but the point was he was willing to take a shot a something new after TDK.

But I could see a complete reimagining of "Annie" with totally new music to be something that might work. If it was just some rapper, I wouldn't think much of it, but with the talent from Fela involved, it could be quite good. Just as long as it's not the equivalent of "The Wiz".

While I haven't liked some of the films Smith has been in, I have liked Smith's performance in those films. And I happened to of loved Hancock -- I thought it was a really interesting take on superhero mythology. Generally, Smith comes across as immensely likable. I thought he was quite good in Six Degrees of Separation, Ali, Enemy of the State, Hancock, MIB and I Am Legend. There's a sense of decency in most of his characters that is rare on the screen today.

I don't think there much to add to this and I agree with most of these thoughts, except I don't want him to play 007, EVER! There's a list of actors at least 10-15 deep who'd I prefer and even if they wanted to choose a black actor he's two or three behind other choices...
