^ Well, get to it already.

Meanwhile, I was sent this link from our friends over at HTF.…
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/foru...hunter-edition

Given their candid review, I score it -
20th Century Fox 1
Patton Screenshot scientists never-ending anti-DNR campaign to change all future Fox catalog titles 0

And Result #1 seems to have prevailed….
https://forum.blu-ray.com/insider-di...ml#post3403416

In other words, substitute ‘20th Century’ for Megan, 'totally disregards' for is angry and ‘screenshot scientists’ for Paparazzi…
http://meganfoxnews.com/megan-fox-an...the-paparazzi/

In other words, to make it perfectly clear to the online activists -
"20th Century Fox Totally Disregards Screenshot Scientists"

Fairly recently it was actually tried but, I don't think they were ever really serious as you can see here -

It weighs more than the S.A.W. I carried in the Army.

I have a non-Blu-ray question for Jeff or Penton. Why is it taking so long to release Mad About You on DVD? 9 years just to get to the fourth season? At this pace, I will be ready to retire when season seven is released.

Finally…a man that has his priorities in order on this thread.

Now tell us, for the record, what is the #1 most viewed thread on this forum ….at least I still think it holds that crown?
(It’s essentially a pic thread).

They say if you retire early, you have much longer to play with your toys just in case you really can’t *take them with you*.

Army, eh?
Hey, ask Kris what the submariners really think about female officers living with them on the subs. I'm curious about the real scoop rather than the Naval party line, so to speak.

Penton,

I have yet to see a female Navy officer look like Demi Moore

most look like

But after a 3 month tour of duty they may start to look like

This remains the most awesome thing I've seen re: the Might Vuvu:

Priceless, and a belated (by a couple of hours) Happy Birthday.
Did you feel the recent quake?

Yeah, it was quite amusing - my "sig. other" was walking on the street, oblivious to the quake. My office is on the third floor of our house (hence the daily procrastination in this thread) and I thought either our wall mounted a/c was going crazy or my semi-neighbours were blowing up their dryer.

The only reason I knew it was something more was when a Kenner AT-AT took out a Force-FX saber on the way down off a giant PAX bookshelf (there, both IKEA -and- Star Wars nerdiness for Jeff's benefit )

My first, it was a weird and wobbly experience.

Meanwhile, it's amusing to be 10 minutes away from riot gear and so-called "anarchists" in this footy-mad part of the city. I'm sure in LA you're used to being segregated from pockets of violence and/or idiocy by only a few blocks, but here during G20 it's pretty novel.

Best of luck to the Yanks this aft., I have no team playing today going through to the quarters, so it'll be an expensive day in my pool:

I had:

1. France
2. Argentina
3. England
4. Germany
5. Netherlands
6. Italy
7. Brazil
8. Spain

With 1/6 out already, and 3/4 canceling each other out, I ain't getting those points.

Still, I'm being kept alive by David Villa's flashes of brilliance (we get 5pts per goal scored by one of three players we pick) - my other two, Rooney and Messi, are DESPERATELY in need of more than a couple goals.

At any rate, best of luck again, hope you're finding a decent spot to enjoy the match in glorious 3D.

Another simple question – Which post facility did the film restoration work on Psycho due out on Blu-ray in the future?
HTV is Universal's standard contrator for cleanup and restoration, so I'd have to say them.

If the part of the product that actually motivates the buying decision is found to be lacking, all of the unwanted 'look at me!' extras are going to suffer a little resentment.

To cross-analogize TM, if you've been shouting at your manager to buy a new keeper for the past three seasons, you're probably not going to smile really big when he unveils that expensive new winger, are you? Might be the best winger in the world, but he's not going to be your favorite player, is he?
I am not a fan of BD-live, that is why I set-up my PS3 to ask first (PM do you know if it is possible for the PS3 group to add a "no BD-live" instead of "just ask"). But I don't get it. I see two issues with this discussion.

1) like I said I am not a fan but every so often I say yes just to see what is there, every time it is mostly useless trailers and sometimes some featurettes that could have been on a disk and might have been on the DVD. I don't see how that has any cost worth mentioning, especially since most (like trailers) don't seem to be title specific.

2) let's face it we all know it is a business and that most of the big studios are not "movie corporations" but giant conglomerates that just look at the bottom line. And so it is cheapest product to make as possible, to maximize profit.

3) Let's face it, like most here I want a good copy that looks like the film it is supposed to represent, that means FG and even if it is not too bad, scratches and stuff. But let's face it, we are not the only ones buying this stuff and how many times do we hear from idiots who say "the image should be crystal clear and look like a window" and want something scrubbed of all details. It is not that easy. Do you please group A and then B says "they should spend the $ on DNR" to make it look like something shot on a real crap digital camera, or B and then "I am not getting it, they scrubbed it clean of all fine detail which is why I got into BD in the first place".

They played valiantly, but their defense was lax on too many occasions and it cost them, especially the last goal. Oh well....four more years. I'll be rooting for England now.

here's hoping the US will still give a crap (well, the small amount of crap that's been given) now that they're out. I have faith that those in it for the matches are in it for the long haul.

Meanwhile, feast your eyes on these purdy pics:
