darkman would be awesome. I don't really care much for the previews for drag me to hell.

What makes no sense is that they knew the whole time that "Drag Me to Hell" was coming out, so why announce AoD, then later decide to package it with DMtH, when they could've went with that from the beginning. Although, it is a movie studio we're talking about, logic doesn't usually apply.

It's not coming. I'm 100% sure. I have all the May and early June Universal studios titles, and that's not one of them.

It isn't that it is delayed that bothers me, it is that the studio hasn't even bothered to tell us that it is delayed, or why, or even when we might expect it.
On another note, Blu-news, any chance you could post pictures of those Uni titles? I always like when people post pics of new releases. And have you had a chance to glance at Field of Dreams, because that supposedly had not so great PQ on HDDVD.

No surprise there but Blu-ray.com now states "No release date" where previously "May 19" used to be so it's delayed. Hopefully we'll get it before Halloween in that rumored three-pack along with Drag Me To Hell (which I hear from early reviews is awesome) and Darkman

I contacted Universal directly and confirmed the delay. The studio rep suggested we'll be hearing a new date in the near future, so keep your fingers crossed!

With Drag Me to Hell coming out, I'm really wanting to watch the Evil Dead Trilogy, and it'd be great if it was on Blu...kinda why I was thinking they announced it for the release date they did. Oh well, they'll probably hit the other window of opportunity, when DMtH comes out on Blu.

This is BS!!!!! i was so looking forward to this coming out!!! now we gotta wait till october (just a guess but chances are they will release all 3 evil dead movies when they release DMTH) btw who is excited to see DMTH??? how about a brue campbell cameo....yea prob. not but hey ill be lookin haha. bruce campbell is the man!!!

What burns me about this moreover than the delay itself is seeing that they waited until the last moment to delay it there is likely a warehouse full of "Army of Darkness" Blu-rays which is then exasperated by the realization they won't be using this extra time to clean-up the release--like using a 50gb disc for a better transfer.

I hope they used this extra time to do some work on it. I read plenty of negative reviews about the transfer on the HD-DVD.

It looks like Universal just ported over the HD-DVD of "Field Of Dreams", so hopefully they don't make the same mistake again with Army Of Darkness.

There was no official word from the studio that it was delayed tho right? We all just found out the hard way. Fox used to be bad for this, they did officially announce with cover art yet, a 2-disc Usual Suspects DVD & a limited edition of 28 Days Later in Region 1, but they never came out! Most didn't even notice.

I'll going to pass on the blu-ray unless it has everything the boomstick edition has. And only then the "bootleg" extended version of the film has to be remastered and clean up to make that last half more watchable.
