The airplane crash in "Flight of the Phoenix." Mariah Carey's Mimi concert was very well produced too.

It seems to seperate the sound track, from the movie track.

Also in Spiderman 3, when the sandman (right before he becomes sandman) is in the sandpit after running from police, with that infusion thing starts to spin up around him, it its all the the surround speakers sequentialy and can give you a real good audio buzz.

Another great one never mentioned is Casino Royal, the newer bond movie. The opening scenes have some awesome sound.
Man you read my mind !! I was patiently reading this thread wondering if I was the only one who thought these two scenes in Spiderman 3 were the best sound they've heard on Blu ! It's my "reference" material, and I've watched about a dozen times easily, and I'm still blown away ! The part where Peter is thrown through the window of the building... the glass shattering is simply unbelievable ! Also, as you mentioned, when the infusion machine first gets activated, there's this CRACK sound that it makes... EVERYONE who's watched that scene at my place has jumped outta their seat at that point... it's brilliant !!

Thumbs up Best sound I`ve heard?

All I can say is the following recommendations...

3:10 to Yuma: Excellent in 7.1 sound.
Casino Royale: Totally awesome gun shooting and chase scenes.
Pearl Harbour The best airplane sound effects to date by far.
Eagle eye: Great sound in car chase scenes.
Cars: Anytime they are racing.
Master and Commander: Fighting scenes.
Dark Knight: Self explaination not needed....
And the list just keeps getting bugger and bigger!!!!!

Has anyone heard Band of Brothers or have it? I`m thinking of buying it.

Dark Knight: When Harvey is being transported to jail. One of the most active sequences in lossless history. Enjoy the sonic orgy!

I am continuing to use Kung Fu Panda as source material for audio testing. The audio track is superb and covers a full range of deep bass through the upper range of sound.

I got my new Onkoyo receiver hooked up and was amazed with the PCM of Underworld 1 and The Incredible Hulk. I also watched Underworld 2 but I wouldn't put that on a must watch list just for AQ. I still need to rewatch Iron Man, TDK, and a bunch of other stuff with this peculiar PCM stuff.

I really like the xylophone sound from Hairspray in the musical number "I Can Hear the Bells". Hearing those little bit of notes from that instrument on Blu-ray literally BLEW me AWAY!

I had hairspray on DVD and have NEVER heard that xylophone part in the musical score but when I heard it on Blu-ray I was FLOORED! You hear SO much more on Blu-ray than you would on a very compressed DVD. Amazing!

Also Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk (edward norton version). There are a lot of great sounding concert blus...surround is mainly for croud noise but I think you'd have a hard time not being blown away by John Mayer: where the light is in dolby truhd...one of my most most watched blus.
