I'm going to say that the opening car chase sequence on Quantum of Solace was one of the best I've heard so far. I have it cranked for that.

Jeezy Creezy!!! I was up late last night watching Blade Runner again (for the gazillionth time) and - I know I mentioned it before - but when Deckard starts shooting at Zhora...

SHIZZNIT! I jumped off the couch and went diving for the remote to turn it down! (It was 1:30-2:00ish am)

Now that I have my teeny tiny subwoofer (A2-300 ) I'm STILL hearing stuff I've never heard before, and the stuff I HAVE heard is all new again!

I've also picked up a Bjork SACD, and have Billy Joel, NIN, and another Bjork on the way...

and if I had another $90 laying around, I'd pick up Steely Dan's 'Gaucho' too... I think these should hold me for a while. Hopefully we'll start to hear more rumblings about Blu Audio on the rise... (fingers crossed).

I just watched Chronicles of Riddick and The Rock on blu.

They both are amazingly good for audio fanatics.

The scene that comes to mind for Riddick is when the Armada is attacking the planet. When the large ship moves past the camera you get a wicked LFE and then some amazing surround right after that. IT IS A MUST HEAR.

The end scene in The Rock with the jet planes going under golden gate bridge is one of the best moments in movies(according to me) and the blu doesn't dissapoint.

ENJOY!

Just watched Kingdom of Heaven Directors Cut. Amazing sound quality in this. When the horses ran or the soldiers marched, every hoof and footstep was felt. The soundtrack is also epic and will transport you to another time and place. This is my first time having watched the directors cut version of the film and I have to say it is a 100% better movie than the theatrical release. Everyone should give this another try if you didn't like it the first time around.

Top Gun, especially the opening scene on the deck of the carrier. 6.1 dts sounds great on my system. The couch shakes when those jets launch and there is no distortion even at +5dB. If feels like I'm on the deck along with those fine sailors that risk their lives every single day launching those fighters with that cable catapult that will remove your feet right above the ankles if you are in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

I need to re-listen (watch) 3:10 now that I've got my 7.1 system installed.

Just watched these two over the weekend. WOW!

When Eve first landed, I felt like (and this is the most cliche thing ever, I know) the spaceship was landing in my family room!!

The beginning of M&C is amazing too - it definitely lives up to the hype. Creaking floorboards, crashing waves, and of course the cannon fire - it's the whole package!

The third one is my least favorite, but it sounded great! I actually watched it twice and we all know the movie sucks, but the sound is on point.
