Two recent ones the come to mind:

Band of Brothers - Episode 6 - Bastogne

Every battle in this series is so intense, visually and audibly, that it is almost too disturbing to watch. One of the most impressive was the scene in Episode 6 where the Germans are shooting at the American troops in the snow and the trees are shattering all around them.

Serenity

Towards the end when the Serenity comes flying straight towards the Alliance with the Reapers on their tale. Amazing.

Jurassic Park on Old School Laser disc when the T-rex escapes, the dino footstep sound. I want it on blu-ray so bad, just so I can hear that.

I have quite a few but I'll start with these four.

Black Hawk Down--several points in the film, but particularly when the team first rappels in. You get small arms fire, chopper sound and vehicle sound that come together convincingly.

Wall*E--many highlights, but during the initial landing of the ship carrying Eve there is a tremendous balance of deep bass, delicate treble and other sounds for the full duration of the sequence.

Master & Commander--initial cannon fight with the sound of splintering wood, water, voices, etc, all mixed with the utmost care and precision in the soundstage.

Casino Royale--hen Bond pursues Vesper into the building in Venice good balance of score, small arms fire, LFE-heavy churning of the structure into the water, treble sounds, explosions, etc.

These and in The Hulk when one of the choppers crashes and the rotor goes flying by. I almost ducked!

Opening of Revenge of the Sith when the Republic Assault Ship rumbles across the screen, drums thumping, the two Jedi Starfighters come zipping from the rear right to the center of the screen, and the music kicks in. Goose bump enducing everytime.

Also, agree with Uberbot on Serenity. The scene at the start when Serenity is dropping from space to the planet rocks too. Psychonaut, love that part in TIH along with when he smashes his hands together to put out the flames. So many parts in the movie with excellent sound.

Cars.

When McQueen is on that race track and drives over pebbles on the track, you can hear the pebbles in your rear speakes and it's just sounds amazing.

#1 Serenity.
#2 Master and Commander.
#3 Cloverfield.

You can't go wrong with any of these 3. To be honest it is hard to say wich of these three is the best but something about when the ship is taking off on Serenity is just incredible, it feels like my movie room is going to take off.

The movie sucked, but in Babylon AD - the submarine scene had some scary loud/deep bass. Other sequences had good bass (rap music, gunfire, etc) - but that submarine scene was one loooong bass note. Fun, but I thought stuff was going to fall off my shelves

Try Chicago if you like musicals. The audio track (PCM 5.1 48khz/24 bit), is probably the best one I've heard so far.

That or
Hellboy II (DTS-HD MA 7.1)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (Dolby TrueHD 7.1)
