Man, as soon as I played it I was blown away. Amazing audio quality.
A well performed and produced 24-bit/96KHz sample rate sound in uncompressed PCM 5.1-channel is not to be denied on that disc. I have played it without the TV turned on just for background music.

KNOWING- Reference

Watched this tonight and i'm glad to put this in the reference category. For me reference means that the mix doesn't fall short in any area. Everything I heard in this track was perfect:

Dialogue
Score
Ambience
Surround presence
Fine detail
Agressiveness (when called upon)

There is nothing that this mix lacks! I admit to being very impressed with this presentation. I loved the panning of the voices as it definitely gave presence to the film and the sound was articulate and let's be honest-- just exciting to hear! One of the more discrete tracks i've heard in a while.

Let's just say I have a smile on my face after being very impressed!!

When the door is kicked in, it sounded so crisp, dynamic, and loud. I could hear every splinter in the wood. It sounded better than it did in theaters, honestly.

Yup... for sure. I am starting to think going to the theatre isn't so good. I think I might buy a 60" tv and be done with theatres all together

Both time I saw it in theaters, they screwed up the audio. Surround effects were fine, but dialog was barely intelligible, so after asking them to fix the issue, they turned everything up. My ears are still ringing.

I watched Quantum of Solace last night. Big loud, super sound effects and the score was great too. An aural 10!

This is also my stance on the matter. I also can't enjoy a fill surround by nacho eating buttholes and you can never find the best seat for sound. Cinema sucks.

On topic, Deja Vu really stood out here also.

dont pay the full price for it. The movie itself wasnt anything worth keeping imo. The sound and picture quality are another matter entirely. I'm glad I rented it first.

I dunno. I thought Knowing as a movie was quite good. I can see myself watching it a few times.

BUT... to buy it cheaper is always better for the pockets.
