In my opinion the BEST audio I've heard yet and I own TIH, TDK, Terminator Salvation, and this beats them all purely for dynamics, atmosphere, LFE, detail, razor sharp clarity. Simply stunning!

If thats not your cup of tea, then I'd also recommend Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, final scene between Voldemort and Dumbledore. It is amazing and has all the qualities mentioned of Fight Club above, however it's not consistent throughout the film.
+1 i dont know how it slipped my mind, amazing audio

Alot of good ones have been mentioned already.. Kung Fu Panda is also good demo reference.. I think I've mentioned that on quite a few threads like this one.

Other movies I watched recently that sounded good..

I'Robot - haven't watched that since I had my old Polk speakers and just now realized how good the audio quality on that movie was. I was into it from start to finish - it had quite a few wicked demo scenes!!

Ninja Assassin had alot of good demo scenes with good surround and LFE use!!

The Hitcher - I didn't like it the first time I watched it with no sound system but I guess the audio can make that type of movie more enjoyable..

My wife and I really enjoyed the first scene introducing the Voodoo man in "The Princess and the Frog". It has reference Audio and Video.

"I've got friends on the other side..."

Also the scene in Return of the King when the horses charge the field. That is AWESOME AQ. We also enjoyed the scene when the ring thrown into the lava with everything that happens after. JUST EPIC SOUND!

No one mentions Twister. I have both the U.S. and British versions. The British versions is superior in VQ & AQ. Any scene with the Twisters is demo quality.

People don't mention it often because the movie itself kinda stinks but The Day the Earth stood still has Very Good AQ and PQ.

The Descent for atmospherics
+1 for 3:10 to Yuma
and Pearl Harbor for the attack scenes.

Check out the Blu-ray.com reviews of audio quality as well on these.

I rewatched Terminator: Salvation yesterday, since I hadn't watched it yet with my current audio setup (B&W M1 speakers, B&W ASW608 subwoofer and Onkyo TX-SR607 receiver in a 5.1 setup).

Wow, this movie almost blew the roof off our house. It wasn't just powerful but also crystal clear in details and panning was great. Explosions have a nice deep 'oomph', reverberate through the room and I could hear the dirt falling all around me afterwards. And that was just the opening action scene. Definitely worth the title AQ reference material.

I had the same experience with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Still need to check what Red Cliff I&II will give with this new audio setup. Anticipation is set high
