This is why I LOVE this forum. I initially just wanted some movies that could show off, instead I have 4 pages (so far) with great opinions and links. I am not getting an "explosive" setup, just the Onkyo S6200. Hopefully, I will be able to get decent audio with this system and all these recommendations.

No one flame me here, but in Fellowship of the Ring during the fight scene in the Mines of Mora, the fight with the Cave Troll sounded AWESOME on my 7.1 setup.

You mean Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale has a b/w scene in the beginning. I just watched Apollo 13 and i think thats reference. If only for the shuttle launch.

Wow haven't sen this thread in a while!!!


I just watched End of Days and it had a KICK ASS sound!! The LFE was ALIVE!!


The movie...meh

The list usually goes like


Ironside flip
Master and Commander
U571
Hospital blow up in TDK
Cloverfield
and a few other good ones but those seem to top many lists
