The BEST Audio Quality Blu-ray Megathread

I'm just gonna pop in here at page 53 without reading the previous pages, so I'm sure this movie have been mentioned...

But, I just bought new B&W speakers and the movie of choice as a demo was simple:



The sound is as close to perfect as it gets.

Check out the extended cut Blu-Ray. The audio is much better - far more aggressive. The theatrical track sounds anemic, almost like a lossy track by comparison.

I must be deaf then since it sounded to same to me . I have both versions, but I only watched the extended cut once which was about 2 months ago. The AQ is outstanding though for this movie.

John Rambo is mixed louder than Rambo, particularly in the levels of the gunfire and the storm relative to everething else. That said, the audio quality of both cuts is outstanding.

My votes are based on the overall PQ of the film based on the original source and time the movie was made/filmed. So with that being said, none of my pics are films that were made/filmed anytime recently.

1: Ten Commandments.
2: It's A Wonderful Life. (black & white)
3: Wizard of Oz.

I just watched The Thin Red Line Monday night and it was spectacular. The film itself and the transfer were both absolutely gorgeous.
