As far as for pure visual "pop" when I put a movie into my PS3 (no animations included), here it is .....

Wizard of Oz (my biggest "whoa!" response ever)
Rescue Dawn (a real sleeper!)
Thin Red Line

Not counting animated (or Pixar) films:

-No Country for Old Men (also great movie)

-The General (GREAT movie, and the transfer looks amazing for its age, or what, 84 years is too young?? )

-The Dark Knight (another good movie with great visuals and transfer, specially the IMAX scenes)

Could also include Transformers (either one), Casino Royale (or Quantum of Solace), Incredible Hulk, Iron Man (either one), Apocalypse Now, Kill Bill (either one), Pirates of the Caribbean (2 or 3), District 9, etc.. I think, overall, action or epic movies (new action movies, or old epics).

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - My favorite looking movie ever!

The Dark Knight - The IMAX scene are beyond amazing.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - One of the best new transfers i've seen lately.

My family will surely be curious to hear it play a good BD with lossless audio, so I was wondering what you think the best one is. I will give you a list of my BDs w/ lossless and then I will go finish setting it up while wait for input. Here they are, (not many):

Rambo
Batman Begins
Cloverfield
I Am Legend
There Will be Blood
300
Pan's Labryinth

Wow, a lot fewer than I thought, haha. My first instinct was Rambo since ...it's Rambo... and shit tends to happen when he's around. But it's a demo for my family so I was hoping one of these may stand out as having a lot of subtle surround noises that come through very clearly and significantly better than with lossy tracks. Anyway, if any of these and certain scenes within them stand out, let me know. Thanks, guys.

For me personally:
Nine Inch Nails:Live Beside You In Time
The Killers:Live From The Royal Albert Hall
Close Encoutners Of The Third Kind--the Mothership scene has a lot of bottom end.
Twister
Tron:Legacy
I, Robot
The Patriot
