I just recently got a 5.1 HD system and was wondering if there was a definitive list SOMEWHERE online?

Like in order of amazing to great to good etc?

I remember seeing a thread on AVSforum i think that had a list for the Picture Quality in order like best was BLU, then Gold and Silver etc. Is there the same for the Audio somewhere?

Thanks!

Just scroll through this thread and see what the most freqently posted titles are. Some top tier titles would be:

Master and Commander
Tron: Legacy
Any of the Transformer films (Dark of the Moon being the best)
Rambo 4
Baraka

I have to give my vote to Scarface, I watched it last night and I am very impressed with the audio although I am more for the picture quality than the audio quality, the audio quality on Scarface was a nice suprise, I did not expect it to sound that good!

Two more reference quality titles are:

Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Dolby TrueHD 7.1
The Incredibles - DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1

Both of these are just wow .

Even before I had the Blu-Ray, the DTS Jurassic Park DVD was still my main "go to" disc for audio and now the Blu-Ray is definitely the one that shows off my audio system the best. The T-Rex attack is the end-all-be-all audio demonstration. You get everything - constant immersion and surround activity from the rain and thunder, LFE from the Rex's footsteps, and pure raw dynamics from the Rex's roars.

It's been a long time, so:

SW: TPM
SW: AOTC
SW: ROTS (although not as quite as good as I+II)
Super 8
The Tree of Life
JP I-III
Tron Legacy
Rise of the Planets of the Apes
The Young Victoria
Rango
Transformers

honorable mentions, particularly, considering their age:

SW: ANH
SW: TESB
SW:ROTJ
The Sound of Music
Jumanji

as well as the old ones, such as:

Hulk
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
The Mummy I+II
National Treasure I+II
POTC I-III
Hot Fuzz
Elizabeth
Star Trek ('09)
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the Sea
Terminator: Salvation
9
Inception
King Kong 2005
Up
Monsters inc.

The best audio for 2011 was definitely TRON: Legacy. No question about it and it was the best DTS-HD MA 7.1 track I have personally heard.
