....I had to re-watch Cloverfield last night (DVD version) after it was mentioned and yea...I'd add it to the list. It does have some pretty good moments. Which reminds me that Battle L.A gives a pretty good audio workout itself.

I've listen to every movie that bass has to offer. Cloverfield, Dark Knight, Underworld 4, Mr and Mrs Smith, Jurassic Park, Black Hawkdown, Saving Private Ryan, I am Legend, on and on.

Noting i mean Nothing tops TRON. By far the best Blu todate with overall sound quality.

Just watched new HK movie Nightfall with (a movie first??) Dolby TrueHD 96k track although 16-bit. Very impressive opening scene that sounded demo worthy.

Really like their upsampling and it was easy to hear a difference from the DTS track. Not that I know what levels the tracks was made in so don't take this scientifically

My buddy brought over his son and nephew. I put on Tron Legacy's games scenarios and the kids had to cover their ears.

im a little skeptical when dudes think loud gunshots and bombs equal "best" AQ.
I enjoy that power too but its shouldnt be the determining factor.

You had it too loud then. I run TRON: Legacy around 40 decibels and that's just about right.

yeah i had to turn it down but i wanted to show off my bass to my buddy, and the kids got shaken.

On my onkyo I run Tron:Leg like I do any other movie, 65-70 volume.

I don't have an SPL but it's louder than 40 (id say 60) for certain, without being harsh in any way.

It will always be my demo for bass and dynamics and loudness. Best all rounder.

I'd go with TRON too, at least for something recent. The DTS-HD Ma track is
I think Fast Five is equally good in terms of sorround sound and direction.
It might get loud is pretty awesome too, very sharp and pristine
...but I have to think about others as well.
