I think PROMETHEUS is now my favorite!

The Prometheus 3D, 4-Disc Collector's Edition has been sitting on my shelf since October 8th
and I still haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

It was a "blind buy" for me.

Agreed but I have only been in this hobby since blu-rays came around. What were a couple of movies/scenes during the DVD/VHS/LaserDisc days? I remember my brother speaking about a couple but I can't remember which ones specifically.

I distinctly remember, back in the day, that Die Hard on LD was used by just about every audio/video dealer,
to help sell HT systems to prospective customers.

I've never seen TDKR before.
Total "blind buy."

I'm anxious to see this flick, because of all the favorable reviews.
A good portion of it was filmed in nearby Pittsburgh, PA.
I also enjoyed the first two movies in the trilogy and have both in my Blu-ray collection.

The Dark Knight Rises is very loud very loud, you don't have to turn up your volume. ^^

I love it when the stadium blasts and the Fighters are being called in.
Sounds "ok"

Would you say it's "reference quality?"

Is TDKR really that better than Prometheus and Amazing Spider-Man? My copy will arrive by this weekend.

I'm not just talking about bass, but overall sound design, surround activity, environmental effects, how well the score resonates, etc.

Prometheus and Amazing Spider-man had all of the above IMO.Haven't watched TDKR yet, I'll be doing so for the first time this weekend..

I blind bought the steelbook to match the first two steelbooks. I'll watch it as soon as it comes in. I'm sure I'll like it though.

To be fair, all my Blu-rays are blind buys except for stuff like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc .

[Show spoiler]The firefight to the death at the end of the movie was "balls to the wall" epic! "Say hello to my little friend..."
