If you don't need SA-CD functionality, then get one of the Panasonic models. Otherwise, a Sony should be in your rack.

It's still early days for 4K/UHD, so there's bound to be stability issues afoot. Get something cheap for now and wait for the technology to mature. I would wait for the Sony X700 release soon.

The Sony X800 doesn't do DD+ from Netflix, only DD 5.1
I have no clue why Sony is behind, no clue @ all.

Don't forget its outstanding monuments, Jeronimos' Monastery, the Tower of Belem, the two Palaces at Sintra (the Summer one up in a hill proves that Disney-like castles existed before Disney), The Palace/Library in Mafra, that one got me breatless.
Their sweets bakery, I love the Pasteis de Nata also called Pasteis de Belem (the ones made at A Cafetaria de Belem, is it call like that, near Os Jeronimos? are delicious), the most outstanding piece of sweet I've ever had, I once had 10 in a row and they are not small.
Cod, Portuguese people are true MASTERS at cooking it with, I don't know, hundreds of different recipies to cook it. I love how Portugueses cook cod.
What about rice with lobster? They also master that, we try to in Spain but we don't get it nearly as good as Portugueses do.
And the best of all are Portuguese people, always so friendly, polite and classy, we'd need much of that in Spain, we should take a good look at our next door neighbours and not be such arrogant asses.

X700 is released, but it's supposedly waiting for Dolby Vision firmware upgrade sometime later this year to make it operational.

I really like the look of these new Sony 4K players. Will definitely be looking into these, hope they perform as well as they look. I currently own the UBP-X800, but, hoping these will include better features, and, maybe a front display, although the absence of a front display would not be a deal killer.

I seem to recall these recorders are for the Japan market only, in the past.
I’d predict that will still hold true with these units.
