I called Sony pictures and Sony hardware support and both said that this player will NOT have the Ultra app installed on it. He was hard to understand but said something about another device in the next quarter that would have the Ultra app so we'll have to wait longer and see? I cancelled the order for the X800.

about damn time. I'm still SHOCKED at the lack of players here in the U.S.

it's a freaking YEAR into the format and really the only easily accessible players are the old Samsung and Xbox 1 S with the Oppo being a distant third.

I just came from BB to pick up that Hunger Games 4K set they have on sale today and saw the player there. It looks kind of cheap for $300, but hopefully it performs well out of the box.

excited to see some reviews on this once people get their hands on it. I had the samsung 4k player, but had to many handshake issues and would lose the picture. my xbox one s is much better in that regard but it suffers in the audio department.

Unboxed, did not have time to swap out for Panny 900, we have Mardi Gras here right now and its busy as heck. Physically, reminds me of the UHPH1, and its pretty weighty but that is the dense metal chassis Sony uses on these models.
